It's it probably an allergic reaction to something. Is the lady aware of anything she is allergic to? Also, if she is taking any medication, it could cause a negative response to the treatment. Has she ever suffered from any other serious skin conditions, such as eczema? It could be a returning reaction.
In any case, the best thing to do is to wash your hands thoroughly, especially before and after handling food, pet, medications, or even soil if the lady likes to do any gardening. Apply an anti- itch cream, and it should hold you out through the weekend. If there is any ozzing, odor, or any other drainage or visible opening of the skin, the best thing to do is go to the ER.

Sounds a little like eczema or psoriasis. More likely eczema if she has never had it before. Some hydrocortizone cream otc should do the trick. If this doesn't clear it in 2 days, you might want to try Benedryl cream since she can't take oral antihistamines. If it still doesn't clear get to a dermatologist. Good health.

definitely sounds like an allergic reaction. Try an over the counter coritisone cream instead of an internal antihistamine.

sounds like eczema to me!! buy some anti-cortisome cream and SLATHER it on. to actually get rid of it, soak your arm/arms that have the rash on them in a tub of lukewarm water for twenty minutes every day. this adds moisture. after the soak and continuously throughout the day, apply a lotion or a heavy cream liberally.

Could be eczema, could be a form of ringworm. Could be flesh-eating bacteria.
Most likely an allergy.
