A friend of mine just had his wisdom tooth pulled and now he thinks he has an abscess. He went back to drinking and smoking regularly as soon as he was well enough to do it. Would that have anything to do with his healing process and the fact that he may now have an abscess? He's supposed to be calling the doctor today.

ok, while she was on it, her period never fully stopped. more like light spotting, but constant. she was on the depo for only 1 3 month period and never got it renewed. now its 2 months after she got off it, and her period has still not reurned to normal, shes getting weird chunky discharge, and thinks she may be pregnant. would a EPT come up positive because the shot essentially tricked her body into beliveing she was pregnant? are these weird ymtoms shes having normal? what sohuld we do

Yesterday I was looking at websites of gory pictures of corpses, of people who died in various ways. While I was searching I came across a story of an 18 year old girl called Nicole Catouras who died in a horrific car crash in October 2006. She had taken her dads porshe carrera convertible without permission (apparently drunk at the time) she was passing a Honda at speeds in excess of 100mph, she clipped the Honda, lost control, went over the central reservation, the car rolled and crashed against a concrete toll booth, coming to rest against the booth upside down. The leaked explicit photos of the aftermath were known to be circulated on the net, and her parents are fighting to get them off the net. The photo's were described as extremely gruesome, and I knew that, but my curiousity got the better of me so I set about searching for them. I found them and the photo's showed her body still sitting in the car...She had no face, her head was destroyed beyond recognition-

My father just died and I am still young. He fell of of his roof and he was in bangor in the critical care unit for 24 days and on the 24th day the doctors had to shut off his life support machine or else his heart would have burst.

I just started on this new birth control loestrin 20, and started the pack the first day of my period. I am right now on my non taking pills ( I am assuming that this would be when my period would come in) anyway, will I get my period on Tuesday when I start taking the pills again? Hello,
I’m going to partake in one of the world’s most challenging half ironman in 3 months– I know that I need to start taking an overall combination of vitamins and minerals. I feel that my body is depleted and can’t recover no matter how well I eat. Does anybody have any recommendation of a well-rounded multi-vitamin including minerals especially magnesium in a liquid form (made for women). the opitician said my friend had a shadow around the macula in his eye,but had to look up his notes to see if it was there at his last app.while he was waiting he went to see his dr. who sent him to casualty, the dr. there said it was a" dried haemorrage" and may have been there since birth,and that it was no harm.his eyesight is ok and he has clear vision.also the optician got back to my friend and told him that it was not there before,but was making an app. for him to see an opthalmic surgeon to reassure him.he lifts weights and cycles.he also uses "cleo "on his face.has any one any information about this ,as he is very nervous that he has damaged his eye.

Health insurance companies refuse to insure patients with preexisting conditions, health care professionals are rude, fees are through the roof, and the few health care providers who treat w/o insurance, do so in a mediocre fashion. I'm almost ashamed to be pursuing a career in medicine.

Some days I feel pressure, but not really pressure, it is hard to explain, I just feel different in my head/body, when I rub my eyes and open them I see the world like looking through a bottle of Goldschläger. Little gold flakes seem to fall or float in my vision. This lasts for only a few moments as the "pressure" feeling subsides.

My eyes feel kind of like a glaucoma test has been done as well, sort of dry and swollen and irritated, but nothing really bad. This vision thing is more of a concern then a pain thing as I am curious to know if it is signaling something else. I am in my late 30's so I don't think this is normal for people in my age group either.

I quit drinking about 10 years ago, I quit smoking 3-4 months ago, but this symptom has gone on for a long time (like 20+ years), it just seems to be happening more and more lately.

Anyone got an idea what this could be?

I have no idea where i got it or from who.My fiance thinks i cheated on him, but i didnt, im not like that. He had it about 3 yrs ago and was treated for it. I know that he didnt cheat on me, but when i told him, he was very angry and got very defensive. I lost my husband two years ago and our daughter lives 1700 miles away. I have no family close by and get so very lonely. The depression caused by my circumstances is sometimes unbearable. My close friend have full time jobs or they are busy with their own families most of the time. Financial harships play a role in this as well. I want to find a way out of the funk all of the circumstances have caused but seem to not find an easy way to do it.

I got Diarrhoea at 11pm last night, and I want to know whether it was the pistachios that I ate at 6pm, or the warm egg salad sandwich that I had at 3pm. Or indeed the curry I had had the previous evening.
Roughly how long will dodgy food take to go through the system? This will help me work out what was the cause, and help prevent a repeat.
