Health - 16 April 2007

Back in October, I had a deep cavity in one of my bottom teeth and the dentist was not sure if we could get by without a root canal. She just filled it and that seemed to do the trick, but it was a very deep filling. Every once in a while it is sensitive, but no pain. Now 6 months later, I have a puss filled bump on the side of it but with no pain at all - not even sensitivity right now. I can eat, tapping the tooth doesn't hurt, and no temperature sensitivity. Have popped the abscess several times with a sterile pin and it has drained a few times, but fills right up again.
My question is, do I have any chance of escaping this without a root canal? I should probably go to the dentist right away, huh?

I have several injuries. A couple of herinated discs in the lower back and one in my neck and Scoliosis in the upper back where my lungs are. Right now, I have tried several types of meds but it does not seem to do much. The ones that help increase my pain twice as much as I start with so I had to get off them. All I'm asking is for a recommend brand or name of over-the-counter meds I can take.

It all started when I stopped eating meat. Little by little I was disgusted with meat and chicken...since I was little and after some failed tries I finally stopped eating meat. I have 6 months being veggetarian. Nada from animals..not even milk. So now I said to myself if I can stop eating meat and chicken I can stop eating a lot. And these thoughts crossed my mind for 2 months or so... Now I have 5 days eating like this..
day1 -534 calories
day2-613calories
day3-460calories
day4-800calories
and today I only ate 200 calories...

I just \cant seem to get this thoughts out of my mind...I say things like this "If I refused to eat my favorite food why should i eat this stupid french fries today?"

I don't want to die but I am too scared to break my diet?? or whatever I have....help help

I had my nissen fundoplication 3 yrs. ago. Now I have reflux again. Not the burning just the coughing and i lose my voice.Had a VLS test done and that is what is showing up . What can be done now that I have had the surgery once? Can it be fix again?

No perverts please! My 11 yr old step son told his father that his left testical was red and swollen. He said he has also had some pain and its been this way since at least friday. I have gone to different sites and it seems that his symptoms are very serious. I remember a friend saying something about their ringing ears after going to a concert.

They said that the ring you hear is the last time you'll ever hear that frequency of sound. And since adults can't hear nearly as much as kids, I almost have to believe them.

I am not sure, but I think I pulled my calf muscle. It hurts really bad when I straighten my foot or walk in general, I thought walking down the steps would help stretch it out, but when I did I felt something snap. The muscle is now so tight and hurts just sitting here. Is there any thing I can do to relax the muscle and get rid of the pain without going to the doctor?
