YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO THIS BECAUSE THIS THE IMPROPER CEMENT FOR BONDING A CROWN. TO TEMPORARILY CEMENT A CROWN THAT A DENTIST CAN EASILY REMOVE AND PROPERLY CEMENT YOU CAN BUY TEMPORARY FILLING MATERIAL IN MOST PHARMACIES.
MIX UP THE POWDER AND LIQUID INTO A SOUPY MIX AND PUT THIS INSIDE THE CROWN AND BITE DOWN WITH THIS ON THE TOOTH.
THIS CEMENT IS ONLY TEMPORARY AND WILL KEEP THE CROWN IN PLACE WHILE IT CAN BE EASILY REMOVED BY THE DENTIST.

I wouldn't recommend "superglueing"it, what if you super glue it and then when you go to the dentist you end up spending extra time and pain just so the dentist can pop it off and put it into its correct position? Ouch. If I were you I'd place it and a small container or bag until my turn comes. I have caps on my teeth too. Or you can just go to another dentist and tell them its an emergency and just pay for walk-in-emergency (if your tooth is in pain and you need the cap ASAP)

Superglue would hold the tooth in place... maybe more than temporarily. You would have to apply it when it's dry.

However, don't use superglue. It's highly toxic and could kill or permanently harm you.

So what do you stick on the tooth meanwhile? Vaseline, Wax, or Chewing Gum. Seriously:

If you read the warnings on the superglue, the answer is no. If you decide to anyway, then you will most likely cost yourself some extra dental fees. I would say if your dentist will not see you soon enough, it's probably time to change dentist. Call the dentist, if he/she hears of your superglue idea, it may get you in real soon.

theoretically I guess you could as long as it was dry, but I wouldn't because it could cause major problems for the dentist. Call and get an emergency cap put on, all dentists should take emergencies in and a temporary cap takes little time.

If you try and replace your cap, make *very* sure that the tooth is clean before you do. You don't want to trap bacteria under the cap.

I have to second Dr. Albert's advice. Go to the drugstore and buy some temporary cement if the dentist can't see you. Don't use the superglue, it will make a mess.
