No perverts please! My 11 yr old step son told his father that his left testical was red and swollen. He said he has also had some pain and its been this way since at least friday. I have gone to different sites and it seems that his symptoms are very serious. We are taking him to the doctor tomorrow but id like to narrow it down to a least a couple things. another thing he is not sexually active, trust me i know this kid! What could cause this? Thanks!

So many things can cause this that there is no way I can even begin to guess. I am glad you have a doctor's appointment for him. Without an exam, and possibly some testing, there is no way to know for sure. I can tell you several things that would cause this symptom though:
infection
inguinal hernia
twisted testicle
hydrocele
injury

Given his age, there is a high incidence that this might turn out to be an inguinal hernia. This can be treated with surgery...usually same day surgery where he comes in in the morning, has surgery and goes home all in the same day. I'm glad your step son told his father.
