I had my nissen fundoplication 3 yrs. ago. Now I have reflux again. Not the burning just the coughing and i lose my voice.Had a VLS test done and that is what is showing up . What can be done now that I have had the surgery once? Can it be fix again?

it can be done again - however the main reason it fails ( i know as mine failed cause of it and many others i know also had the same reason) is that once done the person does not follow lifestyle changes needed to prevent reoccurance such as quit smoking and drinking and soda and eating wrong and to much and other lifetstyle changes that needed to be made to assist the operation in being a success. at this time i am back on meds trying to keep the symptoms at bay and trying to change my lifestyle ( that part isnt going so well lol) before i go back and waste all that money again just to ruin it again. prayers going out to you. good luck.

Yeah, I had it once. I was never the same. The only thing that made it tolerable was getting my brother back with a dirty sanchez, but it still doesn't compare to the mental scarring of the Nissen Fundoplication,

In certain cases, it can. I work for a surgeon that does these and he's redone some that other docs have done.
