First I would like to say, ADD and ADHD are two very real conditions, and they affect millions of Americans. There are a few behavioral modifications that you can do to help in your condition, the first and most important is to set a routine and stick with it. By placing yourself on a routine you are more able to function with little troubles. In my personal experience (living with ADHD for 25 years now) The best thing you can do is a combo of both medication and behavioral counseling. ADD can attribute to areas in your life that you may not even realize, for instance your Credit, your Job history, as well as your likelihood of being a smoker or caffeine addict. There have been many advances in the past 3 years in helping to treat ADD and ADHD both.

Sound Therapy has been found to be very beneficial for ADD.
There is information about it at http://www.soundtherapyperth.com/benefits/add.php which mentions children with ADD, but the theory of why it helps should be equally applicable to adults.
In a nutshell, the information provided there says that the majority of people with ADD have auditory reception problems, and although they can hear, they have difficulty making sense of what they hear; they cannot tune out unwanted input and focus on selected sounds. It is this indiscriminate reception of auditory input which leads to the inability to focus one's attention on a selected topic for any length of time.
It also says, "By stimulating the frontal lobe, Sound Therapy may restore [one's] ability to think quickly and put the brakes on before acting. It may also retrain the listening capacity or the auditory reception process, so that [one] can learn to focus on the desired sound and to relay the sound directly to the language centre in the brain. This process reduces stress and tension in the whole nervous system as [one] becomes able to attend to a chosen stimulus instead of being constantly distracted by every sound in the environment."
I've personally used Sound Therapy for hearing problems rather than ADD, but I've read all the books available about Sound Therapy (there are 3) and the results that appear to have been gained for a variety of learning problems sounds phenomenal.
Sound Therapy is easy to use - it's a listening program on CD that you can listen to on a discman, so you can use it anytime that suits you.

Okay, first, F that first guy. I reported abuse and I hope that you do too.
Now, if you REALLY want to get down to the source, I've seen amazing results first hand using Dianetics. Go to www.dianetics.org
Dianetics is not the same as Scientology, not exactly... personally I disregard the religious aspects, and they make incredible claims that I WOULD dismiss if I had not seen them working - even on myself.
Write me if you want and I'll tell you a little about it.

Attend, Extress & Memorin look like great products w/ great ingredients.
If I weren't on meds I would be taking them. When I go off meds I will take them.
The Doc that promotes these is a leading ADD expert in California. He went from promoting drugs to promoting natural alternatives.
