I lost 40lbs about a year ago by restricting my caloric intake to 1300cal per day (I know, I know - thats tiny.) I'm a male, 21, 6'2, now about 190lbs. I'd like to lose about another 15lbs, but I'm wondering if I could do it more quickly by eating MORE - did restricting my caloric intake cause me to lose weight more slowly than I could have otherwise?
My objective was to do it as quickly as possible, regardless of how diffiecult it was. I'm just wondering if it's true that eating so little can slow my metabolism significantly.

My father has been on a venilator since last Saturday. The doctor don't see much hope in his survival, every time they try to see if he can breath on his own, his heart rate sky rockets, as well as his blood pressure, and his brain doesnt receive enough oxygen. My Dad, has told the family, that he only wants to be "kept" alive for two weeks. That means I have another week. The choice is basically up to me, my sister hasnt spoken to the family in about five years, and my brother means well, but he is a drug addict. He has multiple infections, and even while sedated it looks like he is in pain. He isn't responsive either. I guess my big fear is, if I say ok pull the plug...I would be playing God. Im not a religious person but that scares me. It also scares me to lose my dad. In my head I know I should honor his wishes, but my heart is breaking just thinkin about it. I guess I just need some help:(

Met this girl online and we're meeting for a movie and dinner tomorrow night. Here it goes,

I am 113-114 lbs, and am 5'3". I've always enjoyed exercising (particularly since middle school) and consider myself to be a healthy eater, but I can't seem to flatten my upper abs. My lower abs could use some toning, but my upper abs need it the most for no matter how well I eat, or how well I exercise, they seem to appear "swollen". This makes my ribs look as if they are sticking out (not horribly so, but still) and/or are round and soft. The only time when my abs seem to be the flattest are in the mornings, after getting up. (Almost as if laying down for eight hours helps "flatten" them out.)
Anyway, I am wondering if there is a certain type of exercise, or diet, or whatever, that could help remedy this problem.

Hello,

This is my girlfriends first month taking a birth control pill--she is taking Novial.

She's had leakage for almost this entire month, now she is done with her first package of pills and we are supposed to wait 7 days before begining her new pack. She should have gotten her period, but because she has been leaking/spotting all month it is hard to tell if she has period or is just still leaking...

My Question is, Are we protected during this week? and does this sound normal?

She has a doctors appointment on the 22nd, but we've been having sex the past 2-days without her taking pills and we are both a little nervous about this, this is our first time using a birth control pill...

on november 15th, i went to a family planning clinic to get on the pill. i had had some itching down there, so they did a swab, looked at it under the microscope, and told me i had trich (i got it from my bf). anyway. they gave me metronidazole to take in one dose. my boyfriend and i both took it that night. the symptoms got worse at first, but about 9 days later, my symptoms were gone. then i had my period the next week. well, i have been off of my period for about a week now, and my boyfriend and i just started having sex again, and now all the trich symptoms are back. i thought it was gone. my pap smear came back fine from the 15th. what could be wrong with me? did the metronidazole just not work? this is getting really irritating now, i thought it was gone but no, the symptoms are definitely back.

HI, My Brother had a Stray Dog bite in 1991. As it was a Stray dog he underwent for Vaccine for Dog Bite. From then he never had any kind of Symptoms which i found in Rabies Sympotms mentioned by some of the Moderator. But my Question is can the Rabies Virus activate after 10-15 years of the Incidence or Can a survive with Rabies Virus for longer period without any medical assistance? He has got believe that in future he might get the Rabies Infection.

I smoke weed about every day. Just one hit on work days when I get home. On days off, sometimes a few times a day, sometimes just once. I've been doing it for about 30 years. I was laying in bed and my husband was rubbing my back and he kept saying he could feel electricty running though my back and i didnt beleave him until we traded places and when you take the blanket off it would stop so we sat up and held the blanket and it would do it wether it was on or off but as soon as you un plugged it it would stop we tried a different plug to see it that was it and it still did it it is weird cause you cant feel it unles you are the one touching the one holding the blanket what would cause this please help
