I was using a new treadmill yesterday at the gym and noticed one of the items it was keeping track of was something called Vertical Distance Travelled. I tried googling it but couldn't find anything useful or in everyday English. What is it and why should I know it?

I'm a bit of a worrier (well... hypocondriact to be honest with myself) and recently convinced myself I might be pregnant so got a couple of home tests. Took them - and they came back negative. However, being the worrier that I am, I'm concerned (and probably shouldn't indulge myself so much) that they're not very accurate - espeically considering all the stories you hear of people getting the wrong result. Seriously speaking, are they acturate? Can I trust that I am not pregnant?

I have posted a simliar question about sleeping problem before. I can't sleep at night. The best answer i got last time was because I don't move around as much. But i tried that. I tried to walk around, stretch, or just move around as much as possible and i still cant sleep at night. I would wake up every 20-30 min and i will wake up complete in 2 hours. Then i would have to roll around or get up and read or something to fall back asleep for another hour. I am so tired. What should i do? i took sleeping pills before and it didnt work either....

I'm wondering if there is something going around. I don't want to go to the doctor because the symptoms are manageable. If you've had these symptoms and its a bug or something, let me know. Thanks

I have read the book "you can heal your life" by Louise Hay. I got it from the library. A lot of it makes sense to me and would explain a lot.

Do you feel that a lot of us bring on our our ailments sometimes due to negative thoughts/feelings?

I do realize that some health problems come from bacteria/viruses/spores etc for I have had enough microbiology and biochem classes to know that. I do think the mind is a very powerful tool as well and can sometimes alter our body in subtle ways.

what are your thoughts on this?

I noticed a lump in my arm about 3 days ago. It's about 10cm from the wrist & I haven't banged it as far as i am aware. The lump is hard and smaller than a pea.

Should I get it checked out or will I be wasting the Dr's time?
