snack throughout the day on celery sticks, carrot sticks, a little peanut butter on a rice cake, a slice of toast with a little butter, fruit, a cup of jelly, etc.

Do this while eating small healthy meals (piece of breast chicken (no skin), a salad and rice/pasta/potato. Make sure the meals are small!

This way you can eat all day, but eat overall less calories - and thus lose weight and not overeat!

overall, try to eat 6 times a day (small meals and three or four snacks), and just make sure it's good for you!

u won't have hunger pains, a rumbling tummy or overeat at meal times!

Really chew and savour each mouthful. Your stomach takes about 20 minutes to catch up with what your stomach is doing, so you can very easily overeat. If you think about what you're eating, chew it fully and enjoy it then you will take more time over dinner and actually eat less as you're enjoying it more.

You can also try using smaller plates and not overloading them - it looks like a good sized meal, but is slightly less. Your brain won't see it that way though!

Whenever u feel hungry drink water. It can even be fruit juice or just fruit. They fill you up. Also drink a glass of water before a meal or more if you can. That reduce the amount of food you will eat during the meal.

Serve yourself portions that are 50% of what you would normally take. If you're still hungry when you finish, then take 25% more.

Keep low calorie snacks on hand (preferable nutritious) so you've got something harmless to snack on if needed.

These are techniques used by Heidi, the Kimkins Success Story below. She lost 93 lbs!

When you first feel hungry have a drink of water, this usually takes the feeling of hunger away, if you still feel hungry, try to occupy yourself, do something to take your mind off your hunger, but if you still feel hungry, then this means that you are hungry and you need to eat!
A useful tip is to keep a bowl of raw vegetables in the fridge as a nibble bowl, raw carrot, celery, etc. this can help as you feel better as you have actually eaten something, but it is not full of calories.

When you drink a glass or two of water with your meals it will give you a more fuller feeling and it will make you eat less in the process. Plus water's good for you!

do something else.

go for a walk, do some housework, do some shopping, read a book, have a bath, do some laundry. just dont eat and get your mind off of it. unless you are genuinely hungry and its time to eat a meal. then eat healthily otherwise its anorexia :)

drink plenty of water as the signals for thirst and hunger are often mixed up in our brains. also if you wait to drink until you feel thirsty you are already massively dehydrated. :)

Drinking water is the best way.

The physiological reason for this is that thirst is often mistaken for hunger so if you are feeling hunger make sure that you have had a drink to make sure that it is not just thirst

Try weighing yourself every day. That way when you realize you're hungry, you'll say "Wait a minute. I really don't need that." And of course only eating until you are no longer hungry.
