yes. having a time u have sceduled to take ur pill is just so u have that time in ur head so u remember to take it around that time. U dont have to take it at exactly 7am every single day or what ever time u have chosen. its not like if u hit 7:01 ur gonna get preg . The whole concept is to try and be around the time u came up with so ur not like takeing the pill at evey time of the day and get confused. just try and be as close to ur time as u can that u have chosen. if u miss a day, double up the when u remember if thats how the directions were told to do by ur doc. the whole thing is to take ur pill so u dont get preg. if u are serious about not wanting to get preg, then takeing the pill will be a priority to u. If u keep missing the pill and become preg.... that is ur fault not the pill. just try to be on top of takeing it. u will be fine if u are on top of taking ur pill with slight occasional mind forgets. good luck and God Bless

If you took your birth control pill 40 minutes (or upto 8 hours) late, then it is O.K. The makers of birth control pills uses "take your pill the same time everyday" as a method to ensure that users take their pill regularly.

However, you should follow the instruction on the insert that comes with your prescription. Usually, Based on this information, your chances of pregnancy are extremely low and you should not need to use a back up method of birth control.

Basically, the more pills you miss, the more likely you are to become pregnant. If you are really concerned about becoming protected from pregnancy, you should use another method for back-up, e.g. condoms.

Hope this answers your question!

Yes it will be ok - Read the leaflet inside the packet or ask your pharmacist for a print out of information on the pill. It will tell you everything you need to know about it. You should be totally informed about any medication you are taking - even the pill.

General rule of thumb is to take your pills within an hour of the due time. Can be an hour early or an hour late. That's what the pharmacists told me. No problem.

Yes. . . .you are still safe the say to take it within the hour so it will help you remember each and every day . that's also why they include the "sugar pills" to help keep you on track.
