Aside from quitting my job, what should I do? Any non-sexual ideas for relaxation?

Okay, how about you encourage your 6 year old to help you with dinner and/or chores when he or she gets home from school so that they will be a little calmer. As for the 3 year old, is there an indoor gym anywhere near your home? Gyms for little kids always work wonders, don't have them take a nap too late in the afternoon; a nap after lunch should do it but don't let them sleep until daddy comes home because then they will be bouncing off the walls. Also have a bedtime routine; help daddy get them into a bath then their PJs then have them go play with daddy in the basement while you have some quiet time. Kids need routine especially in the morning and at bedtime, if you slowly transition into the evening and if you and your husband keep a calm mood then the kids will be calm as well and you will find evenings much more enjoyable. Hope I helped! =]

If I were you I would stand back take a long look at what's going on with that job.You know people think the job makes them it doesn't You are you life live it to the fullest don't let no job put you in a frenzy. If you hurt your self right now the job would replace you like old news.Let the job go and get another one.My last two job had me where I didn't know if I was going or coming the pressure is too much to handle. You got the R.M D.M S.M All these idiots that don't know a thing about working as a team and want to send you home up set.I tell you what be your own person don't let them mess with your Home Lifestyle Mind Body nor soul Stress attacks all that get off.People like to see other people miserable.keep your head up and make up in your mind I want to be happy and treated well so I could show love to others. It's not worth it to be stressed.Take more time to your self You deserve a break don't let them get you down.

hi. this is becoming a major problem with our generation today. with work load increasing everyday and sleeping hours reducing substatially. and after complete exhaustive day it becomes impossible to work out or join a sports club or other activities.

what best can be done is, when you return home just sit down and relax. have fresh food in good quantity. having less food can also affect sleep. avoid any stimulants like tea or coffee. have some fresh juice and do some deep breathing exercise. this will relax your mind and body.

this should help you gain sound sleep. and avoid taking sleeping pills! strictly NO.

If it's already late, working out might stimulate you further and keep you awake.

Try a stress release yoga session, or meditate to some relaxing music. Or take a bath with a few drops of essential lavendar oil (a calming relaxing scent).

Massages weekly. Aromatherapy lavendar and Chamomile are great relaxation blends. Go to a whole foods or nutritional store and buy true essential oils and a diffusser and jsut add water and a few drops of oil, burn a candle and you should be set for the night!!!

How about meditation or joining a gym and working out or using the hot tub after work. Have you considered taking up a sport or joining a club? How about a hobby like knitting or sewing or maybe scrapbooking? The ideas are endless but you just have to try different things to find out what is best for you.

Guessing by the time you asked this you must work 2nd shift. I feel your pain. A friend had suggested to me to go for a walk but midnight in WI in December is too dark and cold. Have you tried soft music. good luck.
