Dont use the blanket first and formost.

Next, always look to see if there are any issues surrounding the product.

This sounds like a blanket with a short or other electrical problem. Ditch it! It's a hazard, and buying a new blanket is DEFINITELY better than getting hurt!

yes many times. Mostly, I put my fingers accidently into the socket. Once or twice, I felt electric shock while checking the line with a faulty tester(I am not a mechanic, a student). I had also touched a open wire. AC current has a advantage. They throw you back when get a shock. DC where holds you in your own posture thus causing severe damage.

You need to get rid of that blanket before it starts a fire. Sounds like some of the wires might be cracked or damaged. Get rid of it and buy a new one.

That is very dangerous. Stop using the blanket and contact the manufacturer on that.
