I'm 12 and I want to become a vegetarian. My parents don't want me to because they say I am too young. Do you think it would be unhealthy? I would be very grateful if you could give me some good websites. I'm serious about this so a website where I could print information to show to my parents would be ideal.
Thank You!

Yesterday I was told that I couldn't possible be getting all the protein I need from a vegetarian diet because there are various different types. Is there any truth in this, up until now I haven't read anything along these lines and I'm trying to go about it properly. Thanks for any information / links.

It's because it's not easy to eat out in HK as most of the restaurants serve only meat eaters, and very few of them offer choice for vegetarian.

My husband and I (both vegetarian) are about to have our first child and want our family to be brought up in a vegetarian home. Are there any vegetarian familes that could share their experiences (good and bad) or recommend any resources you've found useful. Specifically were there any health concerns you've faced related to vegetarian children? The research I've read has mainly been positive, but I'm looking for first hand experiences. Thanks!

I already am pretty sure that goats go through the same torture cows and other animals go through, to get the cheese from them, and I'm going vegan. My mom got me a goat cheese pizza, but goats are hurt too aren't they?
Just tell me if they are or aren't, thanks

If you were to make a college club, where the members were either vegetarians or people interested in vegetarian lifestyles, but you also wanted lots of non-veg people to show up to meetings just to eat free, tasty food, what would you name it?
Basically, I'm wanting it to be descriptive of purpose, but also warm and inviting.
"Vegetarian and Vegan Club", for example, is simple and to the point, but sounds a bit boring, and exclusive only to veg-people. Surely you creative guys can come up with something better. Thanks for any suggestions!

First of all, I just want to say, I understand in America and other well off countries, they produce meat and dairy products in huge, commercialized amounts and from this, most of the animals are not treated properly. Is it still wrong if you eat animals that were treated good? I've read Peta's website and nutritional reasoning as to why we shouldn't consume meat and dairy. Humans have been eating meat and dairy for hundreds of years, so it seems unhealthy to me to suddenly take something away that has been part of our diet for so long. You can look around the world and see there are places people live, where if they didn't eat fish or meat, they would die from starvation. In colder climates and extremely hot climates, it's nearly impossible to get enough different kinds of non-animal foods to survive from. Not to mention human babies die if fed on a strict vegan diet. What would you give the starving people in Africa to eat? Only fruits and veggies? I don't think so.

Meat eaters are always talking about how vegetarians push our lifestyle down their throats. When I have had vegetarian friends for a year before I became one, not one of them called me evil, or murderer. While meat eaters always shove meat under my nose like they are trying to see if they can get me to eat meat so they can say I knew you were doing it for attention or something. They don't stop and doing stuff like when eating a burger in front of me (I don't get mad when they do this), this is what makes me mad is when they are eating it infront of me knowing I'm a vegetarian, they say stuff like emm yummy cow.
