Well im a vegetarian. I dont eat any meat not even fish because it is an animal it has a face it bleeds its meat. I hate it when people say otherwise fish isnt a damn vegetable. I try to drink soymilk most of the time. I drink regular lowfat milk occasionally. Once in a while cheese never eggs. I also eat my grains pastas and all that nuts herbs and what not. I feel really healthy. Ever since I stopped eating meat I feel so much better I lost alot of weight since I also excersize and I feel happy about myself. But my parents/grandparents often ask me how I can do it. They say you need meat in you or else you are going to starve yourself from not getting enough protein. They also say you want to look anorexic dont you. Eat some meat or at least some eggs to get some protein in you. At times they will be like come on at least eat fish vegetarians eat fish. Have some tuna. This cant be healthy for you Chris im going to take you to a doctor you look pale. blahblah. How do I make them stop!

Moderation shmoderation.....

don't you think if its bad for you that you should just stay away from it all together?
(^ the question, cant say i didn't ask one)

its like doing coke, but its ok, because its in moderation.

both harmful to the body, one just causes death a little faster.
or what about weed. lets do weed in moderation (although it seems weed is healthier than a lot of junk food out there)

starting thinking for yourselves people.

why do you think wheat is good for you? "because the people on tv say so"
or maybe someone says "i have talked to a dietitian"
hmm well... apparently not enough because if you did you would realize that they all disagree with each other. i called 7 dietitians in around the general area, each very different disagreeing on very important and controversial subjects. some said wheat and dairy where not necessary at all, but would not harm you, some said they were good for you and another said over time it can cause harm

As you may know, lanolin comes from sheep's wool and obtaining lanolin is no more harmful to sheep than shaving the sheep (I know plenty of vegetarians who wear wool sweaters). Would lanolin-derived Vitamin D in a product that is otherwise completely plant-based mean that the product was not acceptable to vegetarians, or should NOT be labeled vegetarian? Please don't tell me it's not VEGAN, I know difference between vegetarian and vegan and know that this would not be a vegan product. Thanks for your time.

this feeling has came very quick and now i cant even touch the stuff i dont miss or want it no more.

Is it a sin to be a vegetarian? Some people tell me im wrong for not eating meat because God wanted us to eat animals, but i have a lot of personal reasons why i dont eat meat.

I am moving into an apartment in Muncie, Indiana soon and I am trying to figure out where to shop for groceries. I know that Marsh has a Fresh IDEAs card to help with discounts, does Meijer have some sort of card like that? I also heard that Marsh was more expensive. If anyone can tell me which they think is better and why, I would be so appreciative.

My close family (mom, dad, everyone on my dads side) totally supports me being veg. But the fam. on my moms side is super obnoxious now. I've been veg for around 5-6 months now, the doctor says I'm doing fine and that I'm just as healthy, if not more, than I was before. But everytime I see people on my moms side of the family (which is quite a lot every holiday and LOTS more) they make nasty little comments about me not eating meat, say I'm malnourished, or say 'its just a phase'. If we go out to eat, they say, 'oh, we better not go, there might not be VEGETARIAN options' and then laugh in my face. They call every few days, reminding me to get enough protein and making fun of me. They are the polar opposite of my dads side, who thinks veg is cool and try not to eat meat around me. Some of them are vegetarians too. I'm just sick of my moms side... I feel like I can't be around them anymore. I'm only 13 so I have to visit them if my mom says so, which is all the time. Please help me!!!!!!

I am 18 and I can eat whatever I want lol

but my 16 year old brother has stopped eating meat and he eats what I cook for myself.

My mother is putting pressure on him to eat meat again but he doesn't want to.

What do I do to convince mom to live him alone?
