I am buying all organic foods now and am cutting the above out of my diet. I decided to still eat fish however because of the high protein in it and I live in Florida where it is everywhere. With all of these changes, will I lose weight and feel healthier?? I no longer want to feel run down all the time and my addiction to sugar needed to be stopped!! Any suggestions would be nice.

from them, so if you don't conform to what people think of as vegetarian behavior, you get grief from both other vegetarians AND meat eaters...so I have decided I will no longer declare myself as a vegetarian...it is getting to be too trendy anyway...although I doubt my eating habits will change much...I just don't like the expectations put on me from other people...I don't like labels of any kind...so, any comments?

I mean humans are animals, and that of course means breastmilk comes from an animal so what do you think.

Oh and I am asking vegans here not people who are gonna say "Of course they can since the female isn't tortured while she breastfeeds" or some dumb crap like that.

Oh and I know vegans don't drink milk, and since technically cows aren't whipped or beaten while they are being milked it doesn't torture them, you can't say what I just quoted above.

He is a vegetarian and bought a lovely new Saab 95 Aero performance car. He had the seats changed because they were leather. Now there are two things here for me (I am not a veggie) 1. the cow had been killed anyway and he just had her hide thrown away 2. buying a performance car adds to his carbon footprint and is detrimental to the environment so in a way he has double standards. What do you think?

Hey guys, I know I've asked questions about veganism in the past but this is a bit different. What are reasons to go from vegetarian to vegan? Thanks you guys :).

People who are racist believe one race is superior to another. If a person eats meat, they believe they are superior to animals, therefore they are racist. Has anyone else made this connection?

my partner is, and we went to a veggie/vegan show last week and I picked up a leaflet about milk and how it has puss cells in it. What's that about? Gross! I have been on soya milk since but dont like the taste. I read that a certain amount of puss cells are legally allowed . Does anyone know more? I am in England by the way.

I'm wondering if there are any vegetarians who may know of a good vegetarian book to read. I don't mean a recipe book, more of an informational book on how to have a healthy and complete vegetarian diet. I've been a vegetarian for four years now and recently my boyfriend has decided to become one too. I eat mainly fruit, veggies, and pastas but don't really keep track of my vitamin and mineral intake. I would like to find a book to give both of us ideas of foods that will fulfill all our nutritional needs and give us information of what is needed in a healthy veg diet. Thanks

I am vegan, and would find it hard going out with a meat-eater, especially those meat-eaters who are narrow minded and think you are not getting the correct nutrition ect

I really like the taste of it, but I was told it had a naturally occuring MSG. It is vegan as far as I know and I have emailed the company asking if had any animal byproducts in it and they said no.

Does anyone have anything to share about this soy product?

I am a calm, laid back vegan who usually doesn’t let anything phase her. I haven’t wished harm on another living being since I was a kid but I am sorry, Ashley has pushed me over the edge!

I visit this forum to be in the presence of other like-minded people but whenever I see a post from Ashley (which is almost everyday!) I feel like carving out one of my ars* cheeks just so I can ram it down her self-righteous little throat! I dislike her so much that it’s tempting to eat meat just so I won’t have anything in common with her.

Read her post history… if it isn't preaching her ethics it's asking about faeces and flactulence! Sure, I don’t agree with people eating animal products but I won’t force my morals on everyone like she does. She even waited outside her meat-eating neighbour’s house with abusive posters and started a demonstration!

Sorry for this rant but she gives us veg's a bad name.. she's like the vegan version of Hitler!

Does anyone else hate her as much as I do?

I've stopped eating meat, and consuming milk (directly, i've come to accept the fact that it is virtually impossible to avoid small traces of milk in pre-packaged foods) and eggs (which i avoid in all purchased foods but use rspca approved for my pasta, which is about half a dozen a fortnight). I've turned to Natio so that my body care and makeup are animal cruelty free (except lipsticks which i don't wear anyway.

So whats my prob? I need shoes... and i live in rural tasmania, and i'm financially limited, and i need good shoes for my upcoming trip to Nz, and i can't find any non-crappy, non-leather shoes here!

But most of all, i struggle with drawing the line as far as what i use and consume that contains animal products. i'm limited in my location, and try where i can to avoid them but do i? When am i just making excuses? I want to save these animals from suffering, so should i just buy these crappy shoes and be done with it? Why does the world make it so impossible!!

I eat a well balanced vegan diet and I digest my food well. Accept for the pieces of corn I see when I look at the tissue. I do not have much flatulance as I try to do proper food combining. However, my b/f likes the smell when I pass wind and I personally think that is gross. Is it normal for a guy to like a woman's air?
