I'm wondering if there are any vegetarians who may know of a good vegetarian book to read. I don't mean a recipe book, more of an informational book on how to have a healthy and complete vegetarian diet. I've been a vegetarian for four years now and recently my boyfriend has decided to become one too. I eat mainly fruit, veggies, and pastas but don't really keep track of my vitamin and mineral intake. I would like to find a book to give both of us ideas of foods that will fulfill all our nutritional needs and give us information of what is needed in a healthy veg diet. Thanks

I strongly reccomend the following

Howard Lyman's books Mad Cowboy and No More Bull.

The Food Revolution, Diet for a New America and Healthy at 100 all by John Robbins.

Happy reading.

"Skinny *****" by Kim Barnouin and Rory Freedman (a little salty language, but my boyfriend's omni mom loved it)
"Mad Cowbooy" and "No More Bull" by Howard Lyman
John Robbins' books

For dealing with people who say and do crap to wind you up because you're veg, "Living Among Meat Eaters" by Carol J. Adams.

Diet for a Small Planet has lots of info and recipes. I've had mine for years. The author is Frances Moore Lappe.

The hotest book right now is called, The Skinny _itch". They won't let me put the link up because they will block the spelling but search it in amazon books or half.com.

Very good reading.
