I am a calm, laid back vegan who usually doesn’t let anything phase her. I haven’t wished harm on another living being since I was a kid but I am sorry, Ashley has pushed me over the edge!
I visit this forum to be in the presence of other like-minded people but whenever I see a post from Ashley (which is almost everyday!) I feel like carving out one of my ars* cheeks just so I can ram it down her self-righteous little throat! I dislike her so much that it’s tempting to eat meat just so I won’t have anything in common with her.
Read her post history… if it isn't preaching her ethics it's asking about faeces and flactulence! Sure, I don’t agree with people eating animal products but I won’t force my morals on everyone like she does. She even waited outside her meat-eating neighbour’s house with abusive posters and started a demonstration!
Sorry for this rant but she gives us veg's a bad name.. she's like the vegan version of Hitler!
Does anyone else hate her as much as I do?

Ashley: The rest of us aren’t divided…. It’s just you. You report people left, right and centre just for disagreeing with you. You protest outside your neighbour’s house because they eat meat. Even to us vegans you’re abusive and say that if we don’t go to demonstrations then we’re only being vegans for ‘vanity reasons’!
So many people give you honest advice on toning it down because you’re doing more harm than good but you just won’t listen. Do you not think all these negative views about you, even from your fellow vegs, suggests that you are too extreme? It’s one thing to put your views across but it’s another to slap people in the face with them. You remind me of a torturer… sure, the prisoner might be guilty in your eyes but you can’t abuse them into saying what you want to hear. If you want us to ‘love’ you Ashley, just ask practical questions about being a veg… this isn’t the veg recruitment centre. Learn to accept everyone including those who don't share your views.

Oh, I noticed her post too and really don't like most of them because they're either rants or pointless, or in most cases, both. She does make vegans look bad because she fits the stereotypes so well of all vegans being preachy and that everything in their life has to be vegan related. I almost want to think she's just a clever troll.

I must admit I'm an omni, and I visit this forum on the offchance that I can enjoy some of the veg*n recipes ( daughter is Vegan).
I find Ashley's posts highly offensive and sadly lacking in maturity.
As I read these post's I came across Lillyians, and began to think she may be very right, I have done some research of my own.
Ashley says she is nineteen' lives in London and takes part in a regular Thursday demonstration outside a well known McDonalds, near where she lives.
Having visited the venue in question - nobody knows of her or anyone like her, and all of the people demonstrating there were polite and certainly not in your face.
She also spells most of her words using the American dictionary - color, neighbor etc.
American Troll???
I think a major blocking should be in order.

I don't hate her/him but I can imagine vegans must find her pretty annoying if not embarrassing
As someone previously said I think she is a clever troll and i was just thinking recently that she might be working for Yahoo
reason:
1. she is still around
2. the statements are so far out there it is easy to feel superior and therefore answer..
3. anybody else here have a user name that is composed of a first name I mean just a first name ?? that is pretty rare. as those are the first ones to go.
sorry yahoo if i am wrong and maybe a bit paranoid but I wouldn't be surprised if I was right.
from now on I am going to not answer anymore of her stupid questions.
there could be alot of trouble if it turns out that this person is not a vegan.

I agree with you 100 %....including her most recent post about people who eat meat being racists, which is the most stupid argument yet. I don't care if anyone wants to be vegan, that is great, and if you came to my house for dinner I would make certain you had vegan food to eat. I eat vegan food from time to time. Just as I expect vegans to not tell me what I should and should not eat. We should all just get a long!
BTW Ashley, how can we be united when all you do is call meat eaters racist?? You are a the most arrogant person on the planet.

I'm an ex-Vegan and currently killing mice in traps, so very definitely ex I guess, although I have no love for causing needless suffering for animals - I am just selfish and recognise that I'm selfish. Ashley is certainly a very annoying person but then I can be myself sometimes. I think in the beginning that I saw a younger version of myself in her. I would like to think she's on the level and not a troll but sometimes I do wonder if I'm being duped. I don't hate her but then I am not a Vegan and I can see why you might. For myself, if she is real then I both like and feel sorry for her and if she is a troll, then she must be admired for her creativity. Sometimes I support Ashley and occasionally I stomp on her because she can certainly be very rude sometimes. I don't know what she makes of me: I would love to know!

I've been reading Ashley's questions with an increasing sense of humour failure!
Does anybody else get that sneaking feeling of similiarity with a certain other person who used to post a lot on here and was also always reporting other users to "internet watchdog groups" and Yahoo?
Although, having said that, some of her questions are OK. Some are just bizarre though!

She's probably just a kid. Report her if she's breaking the rules. Just block her and don't read her questions anymore!
There's a lot of messed up people saying awful things about the McCanns and their situation on here, I've decided just to avoid those questions because they make my blood boil and make me lose faith in humanity.

I dont hate Ashley but she irritates the t!ts off me.
I dont think shes a troll, I think shes just incredibly simple!!
Can you imagine bumping into her in the street, god help anyone who walks by eating a bigmac!!
Im Vegetarian, and found this site by accident whilst looking for something else, it has answered a lot of questions for me, but comments that come from Ashley make me think that V & V's will always be considered as 2nd class citizens by meat eaters as she emphasises the belief that we are all preachers & whiners! As a Veggie I'll happily cook my husband a steak, its his choice and I respect that.
Ashley, and others like her need to grow up and realise that ramming their beliefs down other peoples throats DOESNT WORK, It just fuels arguments.

I'm with you.
I am a carnivore, but I respect that everyone be allowed to make this choice for themselves.
When my vegan friends come over for a dinner party, I make sure I have plenty for them to eat, even if they have to suffer through watching others who don't share their view eat meat dishes.
