I have always been mostly vegetarian because I'm not that crazy about meat of any variety. For the past year or so, I've discovered that it doesn't "agree" with my digestive system anymore. If I stay strict vegetarian, I don't have a problem. Anybody else experience this or am I losing it?

I don't understand why if they hate us so that they answer in the vegan vegetarian section.
I have a lot I want to say that's not so appropriet about them. But I guess the only "nice" way to say it is to.
SHOVE IT UP WHERE THE SUN DON"T SHINE. I'd just like to know why they think it's any of their bussiness about how vegetarians and vegans are if they don't like us.

I'm doing a 3 day detox and today is my 3rd day. I made a veggie juice out of organic canned tomatoe sauce, carrots, kale, cucumber and garlic..I blended them all and now it looks like brown sludge from a swamp. It definately isn't appetizing and tastes very earth eck!! Any ideas on how to improve this taste, i thought it would come out all nice and green. I want to vomit loooking at it. Argh....

I have been a vegetarian for a year and a half now and have gotten bored already! I'm going to be a senior this year in highschool and I pack the same lunch every...single... day. Talk about putting my tastebuds to sleep. So are there any fun ideas about what to pack for my lunch?
Also, dinner has been boring too, any easy meal ideas?

I have an 8 year old daughter who is being forced by her mother to be a vegetarian. She is visiting me for the summer. All she wants to do all day long is eat! No joke! She will eat allll day! She gets her protein from eggs, cheese, tofu, beans. No matter what she eats, she wants more. This is so bad that it is angering everyone in the house. She is not fat, she is pretty skinny. Can someone give some advice about what to do? She would prefer to be a meat eater, but she is not allowed back home.

i respect all vegans because it demonstates the motivation in which humans can completely change their diet in order to make them happy and for their "health." I am a family doctor and i have had patients tried to become a vegan and failed within a week. I am not a vegan, but i respect your "ideology"

here is my question:

what commerically famous food products/non-food products dont you eat - an example would be kraft cheese, dial soap

i was a pescetarian for a while, who also indulged in ice cream. since then i gave up fish, milk, and anything else animal related. i don't wear leather or wool. i guess that would make me vegan... BUT i don't check the ingredients of over-the-counter pain killers or fortified juices. so can i call myself vegan or would that make me vegetarian? i could look it up myself, but i'm curious to see what you all have to say.

It is unnatural to milk a cow. A cow produces milk for a calf and a calf alone. It is not meant for humans to drink cow's milk. Saying it is okay to own a cow for milk is like saying it is okay to own a slave. It is wrong, no matter how you try to look at it.

There is one poster on here in particular who mistreats her cow by forcing it to give milk and then she tries to justify it by saying "If we dont milk her, she becomes swollen and engorged" which is a straight lie. I sincerely doubt she has a license to even do that. What agency do we report people like that to?

I'm a vegetarian who recently went vegan. I have serious PMS and a craving for ice cream, but i am avoiding it for obvious reasons. Are there any ice creams that contain no dairy? Let alone good?

I have been slowly giving up meat, and now at the stage where I pretty much avoid it completely, I have noticed now that foods seem to taste more flavoursome and I am craving healthy things such as raw brocolli, cabbage etc.. I tried a small amount of chicken about a week ago that was served to me by my grandparents and found that the taste didn't appeal to me anymore and I thought that it tasted really bland and the texture was also not very enjoyable to eat.. did anyone else notice these changes? and is it common?? do our bodies lose a taste for meat after a while?
