I'm on vacation with my sister in Martha's Vineyard. It's her birthday and she's a vegetarian and I'd like to take her to a restaurant with a lot of vegetarian selection but can't seem to find any. Any veggie restaurants out here, or any with a big veggie selection on their menu?

This might be too nit-picky of a question, but do you need to add the same amount of incomplete protein (in grams) to complete a protein.

For example, if I eat a piece of bread (an incomplete protein) that has 6g of protein, do I have to eat 6g of protein worth of peanut butter (the complement incomplete protein) to complete the protein profile? (If I'm not mixing the right proteins together, plz forgive and still answer the question, I'm sure you get the jist (haha))

I mean, I have incountered more BS about not eating meat. My own friends still pick on me about it. It was alright at first, but now it is getting old. I can understand my husband giving me a little grief but it makes it really hard when it seems that everyone is against you.

I'm not saying you should eat meat frequently, but occasionally
like me, especially seafood. Also yogurt is a SUPERFOOD, so go and figure.

I have been using this product...I think it is a little questionable, but I don't know what else to flavor cooked veggies with - I really like the buttery flavor. Any good suggestions?

BTW, I'm a new vegan and this is the only product I'm using that I don't think is vegan.

recently i've decided to become vegeratian, not only because i pity animals, but because the idea of having dead fleash of a once living thing in my mouth disgusts me. I've never really liked meat, but i ate sausages and burgers to please my parents, though refused to eat steak chicken or any meat in the form of meat itself. now i've decided to stop eating meat completely, because why eat something that I don't like? however my parents are having a hard time accepting this. I really cant stand the comments that they make over the food i try to eat, and the sarcastic jokes that they are making out of me. they say that i've ruined my life and it's just a trail to sickness. my mum kind of accepted what i'm doing now, but my dad is just being horrible to me at mealtimes since. he even said that i'm making myself "disabeled". why can't they just accept the thing that i don't like meat, instead of their constant "you're just being stupid" talks? how can i change this? i'm 15

Not to get into a big thing here but why? Do you think you're better than evolution? Animals eat each other to survive. If its a moral issue regarding how they are killed i can kinda understand it (veil) but... I really can seem to get enough evidence to support not eating meat. Not to mention vegans and people who only eat wheat and stuff....opinions?

In my oppinion it is, what's your view?

My reasoning is that there are pleanty of ways we can have nutritious tasty food without killing animals for meat, but there is no way i can test a vaccine on lentils.

Don't get the worng idea about me. I think the animals should always be treated as humanely as is feasable. and i think whereever possible we should use another method, e.g. cultred cells. (but i still think that we should test on animals before humans for a few reasons which are not central to this point)

And i think animals should only be used for researching deadly or debilitating diseases, not develping luxury products like cosmetics. (If we can't make safe cosmetics without hurting animals, we should just not use cosmetics)

Try to stay on topic, just the comparison of meat VS medical research, not broader issues on whether we should use animals at all, I'm sure there are other questions where that is addressed more directly, and if there are not... ask one.

Don't let me turn you off your morals this quick. This selection is a little biased of course so do your own research first. I just want to know if these sort of stories would make you reconsider you diet and/or look into in further.
