It depends on the reason your vegetarian. Some dont like the tast of flesh. Some think its healthier. And other have taked a moral stand against the use of animals for food and products.
Therefore, I would say artificial bacon would be ok if it was healthy, if health is your reason.

we're not a cult with sin and punishment, we eat what we feel comfortable with. That's for Catholics.
Adherence to the different facets of veg is personal. If your question is if that artificial bacon bits are vegan then read the label. If there are any animal products in it then the answer is no.
An' it harm none, do what ye will!

I think so but if u r being vegetarian just to be vegetarian u should stop. It doesn't sound like u r really that into it because most peoples reason is they dont want to eat animals.

You should check the continer and look at the ingredients- if it has anything like bacon flavoring or stuff like that, it's probably something you wouldn't want to eat.

I haven't eaten fake bacon bits in years! But, I think that they are full of preservatives and MSG, which is just as bad for the body as meat. I mean, if it smells like bacon, and it isn't bacon, then what is it? ;)

Yes it is ok to eat artificial bacon bits because they are made from soybeans, not meat. I think they are probably overly loaded with salt and chemicals, however.

I suppose it really depends on your personal viewpoint of the subject.
I personally don't find anything wrong with it, since it is only manufactured to taste like the real thing, but others could have different outlooks.
