I believe in reason: I looked at evidence of cruelty to animals and thought things through before becoming first vegetarian, then vegan. Nothing is above reason, so applying the same logic to 'religion', I have chosen atheism as the closest thing to the truth, in my opinion.

Can't see the connection, but in the interests of helping, you I am a vegetarian of 25 years , possibly on point of becoming vegan and am NOT an athiest, though to be honest I don't really know what I am.

I am a strict vegetarian and would consider myself a non-religious person who does not spend much time wondering HOW she got here or what happens after death, but rather is respectul and reverent of the beauty, complexity, and perfection that is Nature and grateful that I get the opportunity to experience life on Earth. I try not to take for granted how incredibly lucky we are to be here at all. I do not believe there is a traditional god and if there were I do not think it would be anything that we could come close to comprehending. Anything's possible, but I don't think it's important for me to draw any firm conclusion one way or another. I think it's more important to lead a respectful life and honor MYSELF and in doing so I honor nature, god, the universe, unicorns, and everything/anything else.

Vegan Agnostic who hates religion.
Saying that, I do adopt a lot of the buddhist philosophies but I do not see Buddhism as a religion... more of a way of life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about god and I've studied the religious books of all the major religions but I will not pretend humans are cleverer than we are by saying we will ever know whether there's a god or not.
I don't know whether it exists and I'm quite satisfied with this mystery.

Vegan here.
Technically agnostic, but I see the need of intelligent design in order for complex life to exist is illogical. If life is too complex too exist without it, why is the higher power/creator, an even more advanced entity, able to exist without an even more powerful "designer" responsible for its own existence.
If A is too complex/advanced to exist without B and B is more complex/advanced than A, shouldn't there be a need for a C...D...E...F...G?
If you disagree with this or don't have any idea what it means, it doesn't matter because it changes neither your world or my own. =)
If I were to say that I have any "spirituality", it would be through defending the innocent & voiceless and through music.

i think Obama could. i'm assuming, with the aid of your question, which you're a vegetarian simply by ethical concern and not the wellbeing concern. Sarah Palin is a hunter. She believes in shooting animals for interest. i don't comprehend McCain's view in this despite the fact that it does not certainly count. He allowed Palin on his fee ticket so which you will desire to fault one for the others perspectives.

I fall into the same boat as cat-face-girl. I was raised SDA (we tend to be veggies), but since leaving home, i tend not to identify with it so much.
I have been leaning more towards eastern religions the past few years. Lol, is there such a thing as a Buddhist-christian? If there is, I am one!

I am a Christian. I was raised in a very strict SDA home but since I began college I've strayed from that faith a bit and I consider myself just a Christian. I don't feel that I need a particular denomination to identify with.
