I don't blame you for not understanding my question ..I know all the hormones in the carcasses you eat must be affecting your understanding of things by now.
You have done an excellent job at giving us an example of how truly ignorant about nutrition one can be.

I don't know any vegans who claim to be perfect. The main idea behind veganism is a movement toward veganism and away from animal slavery.
It is impossible to travel (for example)and not kill bugs. Whether one steps on them, rides over them on a bike, or they get smushed on the windshield of a car or bus, bugs die when people move. I don't think any level-headed person would honestly expect vegans never to venture out of their house in order not to kill bugs. The real reason why people (in whatever context, bring up the subject of killing bugs is because they are trying to deflect their own shame about killing animals by shaming vegans.

So you completely changed your original comment eh ? Now your argument changes to spiritual (humans have souls) reasons. There is no indication of the existence of the soul or mind as an entity. Life is life--there is no difference between a cat, or cow, or man. The idea of difference is a human conception for our own advantage.
"The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for whites or women for men."

The dumbest thing I ever heard was:
"My daughter used to be a vegetarian. She went on a camping trip and got hepatitis from contaminated water. She learned her lesson and now she eats meat."
What does getting hepatitis from bad water have to do with being vegetarian? I don't think I'll ever understand that one.

Well you know, I love animals. I have a dog and a fish. Id say that its how the cycle goes! We need to live. Animals eat each other. And Its fun to goto farms and see cows, but its just life. Personally the only animals I wouldn't even THINK about eating are dogs, cats, and other house hold pets. People kill people too, thats like eating us.

OMGLMFAO @ Alma!
Is there an award for most misinformed meat-eater on Yahoo Answers? because I think that chick should win it.
Man made organic food...bahahahahahaha!
Yeah, vegans, you may as well go ahead and stop eating dairy, too!
I am having a hard time understand how ANYONE can think that a VEGetarian only eats ", bread and soy or organic foods". Um, what about vegetables and fruit? Or is that being lumped into organic food? Are we using the literal term organic then? But if it's organic then how can it be man-made?! I'm so confused! Must be the lack of protein making me delirious.

Anyway, a bunch of us got together with our vegetarian friend Michael H and he composed a list of the Top 55 Lame Meat Eater Cliche's about veg*anism. It's a good read. Have fun with it.

Some of my favorites are
Vegetarians eat fish.
God said we are supposed to eat meat.
Vegetarians aren't allowed to eat protein.
Vegans kill microorganisms.
You don't know what you are missing (um... I used to eat it)
Help animals? Why not help people!?!? (usually asked by people who do neither.)
Veg*ans are frail and sickly. (I have taken martial arts and kicked the butts of men twice my size. I also have meat on me and a fine booty.)

"Cruelty will still exist in the world; since you're not going to make a noticeable difference in the lives of humans and animals you might as well give up."
"Violence is first nature for everyone. If you're not going to be violent against others, people will take advantage of that, and you will become a victim."
Both of these arguments are from my boyfriend. God 'elp me, I still love him.

Argument? Just one?How about.......
"Hitler was a vegetarian"
Yeah...........riiiiiiiiigggggght.
"It's natural for them to be eaten and it's called the FOOD CHAIN!!!"
Yeah, and all women were made to conceive every year from their early teens until menopause.
"How can you get any protein?"
Gee I have no idea. If meat-eaters are stronger than herbivores, does that mean that a dumb blonde on the Atkins diet can kick an elephant or a rhinocerus' @$$? I have some minor doubts about that happening.
"God put them here for us to eat."
So did god make us to be eaten by starving mountain lions, wild boar, bears, etc.? If not, why do they usually have more success in tearing us to peices?

"being vegan for moral reasons is illogical. to limit suffering of animals the most effectively, you would have to be a hermit who plants and eats his/her own food, because products from cow (beef tallow) is found in many, many things, including the asphalt which paves streets. also, by eating alternatives to meat, such as grain, animals will still die for your benefit during the harvesting of said grain."
lol such a stupid argument. cough.

that animals are born to be slaughtered. in fact, it's the most frequent one i hear. i give a loud "le sigh" every time, because if animals were born to be slaughtered, they would be born as a fully cooked t-bone steak or pork chop.
one i get from on-the-fence meat eaters is that their family would chastise them if they stopped eating meat (as in the U.S. tradition of BBQ on July 4). That's not a dumb argument though. It's more of something with which to work.
But dumb arguments are rare. Mostly people just stop talking because they don't want to do the whole veg vs meat spiel.
