My uncle and aunt and their kids have all been vegan for a long time.

the two of them have been vegan for a very long time, i dont even know how long.

their kids are 20+ years old, they where both vegan until 18 and one still is.

none of them have ever taken vitamins or supplements in any form and they are all very healthy, they have never had any complications because of it.

i dont have such a long track record but im working on it and i feel better every step of the way.

my best friend and his ex-girlfriend have been vegan for about 8 years now. her diet isnt that perfect but she still doesnt get sick that often. he has a very very good diet. in the 5 years or so ive known him ive only seen him sick once from food poisoning. once again neither of them has ever taken any supplements or had any complications.

with some serious knowledge and a focused will it can work for anyone, there is so many benefits to be gained, from not getting sick to feeling great.

I was vegetarian from 1993-2005 (12 years)

I have now been vegan since October of 2005 (2 years).

It is wonderful and the best decision I ever made - I only wish I would gone vegan sooner! If you think being a vegetarian sounds great I can tell you becoming vegan is 1000x better!!!

I've been vegetarian since July 1987 & wish I'd done it *much* earlier. No health problems arise from my being veg & some chronic problems have gotten a bit better.
Yes, I'm loving it, especially since it has opened up a delicious new world of flavors for me-- before going vegetarian I'd never tasted Greek, Indian or Thai food (all of these cuisines have some wonderful meatless dishes).
A few of my relatives & a couple of friends have also been vegetarian for about as long as I have.

I've been vegetarian for about 11 years. Although initially it was for animal cruelty reasons, I've noticed a lot of health benefits... more energy, clear skin, and rarely get sick.

There are some great chicken substitutes like Boca Chik'n Patties, Morningstar Meal Starters Chik'n Strips, and Gardenburger Buffalo Chik’n Wings. Good luck!

I have never been a vegetarian for more then one meal, but why do you have to practice for ten years or more, it seems like you would get it down by then
