if the word fried is in the title of anything you can be assured it's not going to be the best for you.

just being vegan doesn't make it healthier or help you lose weight. You can get fat on any diet if you eat more calories than you burn. Frying the tofu will make it more fattening but you do need some fat in your diet to be healthy and this is probably a good source of needed fat and protein on a vegan diet that can be slim on both.

It depends... if you deep fry it that wouldn't be too healthy. But, when I make fried tofu I put about 1 teaspoon of olive oil (40 calories and 4 grams of fat) in a hot cast iron skillet and pan fry it. You need some fat in your diet and olive oil is a good source of healthy fat... used in moderation it is perfectly fine. I also use lite tofu which has fewer calories and fewer grams of fat.

Yea lol
but as a fellow vegan, we REALLY don't need to worry about fat, just don't eat it everyday, actually, we're recommended to have some fat in are diet, just do it with good oils, olive, canola...
you do know that even though vegan is healthier (when done properly) and does make you lose a bit of weight, it's more of a strict lifestyle then 'diet'?

Yes, fried anything is bad/worse for you than raw uncooked.
Tofu is already a cooked product, you don't need to do anything to it, you can eat it straight out of the package. In Japan they just eat it will a little soy sauce.

anything fried is bad for you.
and going vegan doesn't absolutely mean that you lose weight. some people are vegan and don't eat right therefore they GAIN weight.
you still have to watch what you eat, and stay away from junk and fried foods.

just use a tiny bit of olive oil (it has the good fat in it) in a hot pan and slice the tofu into very thin squares ... brown them and serve them with your favorite veggies, rice and a bit of sauce maybe...
never deep fry anything if you're trying to be healthy... but lightly browing your tofu is fine
good luck!!
