I think they're ok but maybe you should call/email the manufacturer just to make sure. I only eat chocolate that says it's vegan unless I've contacted them and they've said there are no animal products in them.

I'm a relatively new vegan too, although I've been a vegetarian for longer, and I find it hard to figure out whether things are vegan too. Hopefully one day there will be more of us so manufacturers will feel it's worth labelling more things as vegan.

Check out Peta.com for a listen of ingredients to avoid. Things that might be in chocolate that wouldn't be okay are:

Sodium Caseinate
Milkfat/Butterfat
Gelatin
Stearoyl Lactylate (Things like Lactic Acid are okay, but not Lactose, etc)
About a million other things.

Google "Non-Vegan Ingredients" and you'll get results. Some of them aren't always true (I went MONTHS thinking Lactic Acid was bad, but it's completely vegan), so check them out if you're not exactly sure.

Yup... Good job on starting, but make sure to eat loads of beans and nuts, plus some tofu for the added protein. And since you will not drink milk or eat cheese, you need to have soy milk.

Your body needs the protein, calcium, and other daily nutrients to supply your needed energy to last you throughout the day. Hope this helps :)

I would say do some research. There are a few sites that I found that have thousands of ingredients listed depicting which are vegan and which are not. To the best of my knowledge, those ingredients should be OK. But again, don't take my word for it. Check for yourself.

All of these ingredients seem to be vegan. Vegan foods should not contain egg, dairy or meat products, so read labels carefully. Remember products containing gelatin are not vegan; gelatin is derived from animal bones.

100% vegan. But like others have suggested make sure you eat veggies, fruit, beans, lentils, other whole grains all kinds of nuts and seeds for a proper vegan diet.

Vegans do not eat animal products at all. Vegetarians eat animal product that do not involve killing animals, such as egg, butter, milk etc. Vegans eat plant life only.
