Okay some dear friends are having their 50th wedding anniversary at the end of the month and she collects recipes, so as a gift to her, I wanna make a simple recipe book but instead of the typical search for recipes, I want to have special recipes like the ones your mom or grandma gave you. I wanna put a little book together for her and have things that she'll like because she is around 70 but cooking is her passion. Plus she got me my first cookbook as a wedding gift so I wanna do something special for her!

I really appreciate any help you can give me!

Our typically weekly menu goes like this

pizza
hamburgers
sub sandwiches
spaghetti
burrito and so on

I'm really getting sick of these meals, so I want to try something new. Nothing exotic or hard to make, something you could make with chicken, beef, or ground turkey. Nothing simple or takes a long time to make, nothing fatty, we're lean cookers but not vegetable eaters. Thanks advance!!

I am going to a friends house this weekend to watch all the football games on Sunday. It is my turn to bring all the snacks and I want to know what are some good ideas for finger foods (beer is already taken care of). It is for men, women, and kids (we bring the whole family). I am already bringing chili cheese dip and chips, but I want other ideas. Thanks so much for your help, 10 points to best answer!

A couple of days ago I found several cockroaches in my meal. They were alive. I threw them out and ate the food, no big deal... BUT today I've found cockroaches in my meal again! And again they were alive!

What should add into my food so that I wouldn't have live cockroaches there? Will arsenic work?

I'd like to make it grunchy, if possible and I'm looking to make a cheese sauce/flavor for the chicken.

I have parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, eggs, bread crumbs or shake n bake, a mix for Milanese sauce. Also, what would be a good side dish? Please include directions for chicken. Thanks

I am looking for a good recipe for potato soup. But, I want a simple soup. I dont want one with the vegetables and such. My favorite potato soup (when I am out) is just potato with some cheese and bacon. I have looked online and everything I have found seems to put the "extra" stuff in it. Any ideas? Thanks!!

I love roasted garlic myself but is there a way for me to keep it in the fridge to use later and have it stay good for more than a few days. I know that they package roasted garlic in oil in the stores, can I do the same at home to extend the shelf life? Thanks in advance for the help.

I do a lot of baking for Christmas and Thanksgiving and I am wondering if you have any recipes that freeze well? I know I can freeze dough, just kind of wanted to make a batch or two up each weekend and freeze. Is there a cookie I can bake and tyhen freeze? What are your baking holiday traditions? Thanks!

I am buying some commercial cake pans to make tiered cake.

What are the best type of pans to use?

They are saying the have "hard aluminum" or "hard coat anodized aluminum". What's the difference?

Thanks
