It won't taste as rich, because Cocoa gives the brownies their colour andvelvety texture.
If you're using cheap-ish powder, it won't work well at all, however, if it's better quslity, for example Greens And Blacks, or Charbonelle Et Walker (apologies for spelling), it will likely come out fine.
Check the cocoa content on the back of the packaging first, if it's over 50%, you should be good to go :)

I wont mess your brownie up, i have use hot choc powder before and it turns out the same but with a bit of a taste of the hot chocolate which can be quite nice.

Besides the hot chocolate powder having the sweeteners (which will throw off the amount of sugar you'll want to use in the brownies), it also has powdered milk in it, which could throw off the flavor as well.

cocoa for baking is not sweetened. hot cocoa for making the beverage has sugar in it. so you will have a very sweet mix..... i would just go to the store and buy cocoa powder.

They would turn out way too sweet and not too chocolaty. I would just get the right ingredients and do it right and have a good brownie instead of who knows what. It could be a waste of ingredients and your time.

IT WILL BE TOO SICKENING SWEET, U will have to cut back on almost all the sugar if u use them packets and then it will either be too runny or not enough sweetener, better stick with the recipe and dont try anything else ...

It is not much different but just cut down a bit on the sugar you add to balance it out. It won't be quite as chocolatey either.
