I am going to a friends house this weekend to watch all the football games on Sunday. It is my turn to bring all the snacks and I want to know what are some good ideas for finger foods (beer is already taken care of). It is for men, women, and kids (we bring the whole family). I am already bringing chili cheese dip and chips, but I want other ideas. Thanks so much for your help, 10 points to best answer!

Brauts are always really good. I have a bunch of my husbands friends over every Sunday for football and here are some of the things I serve that they love. Shrimp nachos, BBQ cocktail sausages, potatoe skins, chicken nuggets, pin wheels, bbq beef or pork on a bun. If you need any recipes let me know.

Enjoy Lisa

I can't believe that no one has mentioned PIGS in a BLANKET!!!! I make them all the time and there are never any left! Take 1 package of little smokies and 2 cans crescent rolls. slice each crescent roll down the center to make two. That way your dough matches the size of the smokies. Roll one smokie in each crescent and put on a baking sheet. Heat oven to 375 and bake for about 10 minutes or until slightly golden brown!

You might want to try meatballs, spinach and artichoke dip with crackers, stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs - things that can be put on a plate and not have too much mess. If you have too much to do and not enough time (like most of us! Lol!) you can always check out the freezer section of your grocery store. They carry a wide-variety of appetizers, such as mini-quiche, wings, pigs in a blanket, etc. and you can mix and match with what you can cook yourself versus what you can buy pre-made that you'll just need to heat up.

Make small sandwiches, a veggie tray is always nice. Stuffed mushrooms, pizza bites, and lots of chips and dip. Cookies, pretzels, peanut brittle. The possibilities are endless, and I always try to keep in mind that food is messy lol ! Try to stay with things that are easy to clean up. Good Luck!

This is my favorite:)

Touchdown Taco Dip

1 -16 oz can refried beans
8 oz cream cheese -- softened
1 pkg (1.25 oz) taco seasoning mix
2 garlic cloves, -- minced
1 small tomato, -- cored and diced
1/4 cup onion, -- chopped
1/4 cup black olives, -- chopped
2 tbsp fresh cilantro, -- chopped
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Sour cream
Baked pita or tortilla chips

Preheat oven 375 degrees. Spread refried beans onto bottom of deep dish pan. Combine cream cheese and seasoning mix in medium-size bowl. Add minced garlic to cream cheese mixture; spread over beans. Sprinkle tomato, onion, olives, and cilantro over cream cheese mixture. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake 25-30 minutes or until hot. Garnish with sour cream, if desired. Serve with pita chips or baked tortilla chips.

Note: To prepare pita chips, cut pita bread in half. Slice bread open and cut into triangles; spread over baking stone. Bake in 400 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until crisp.

have you ever made a cheese ball? it is very good and very simple. you can get three packs of philadelphia cream cheese some green onions ( scallions) and any type of lunch meat. ( preferably ham). cut your onions and meat up into chopped pieces into seperate bowls. put your cream cheese on wax paper, start adding your onions and meat kneading the cream cheese into a ball make sure to leave enough onions and meat to put around the outside of the ball once it is done then place onto a dish and put any crackers that you like all around and you have a quick dish. takes about 15 minutes.

what about smokie links and BBQ sauce in a small crockpot.
if you are willing to grill (or do it at home)
chicken breast cut into 3 slices, marinate in Frank's Hot Sauce. Use skewers and BBQ.
Cream cheese and Salsa - 2 8oz cream cheese open and spread in pie tin (saves cleanup later) Use Pace picante (mild or medium) pour salsa over cream cheese, chips mmmmmmm... (our favorite)
