First thaw out the scallops and then try and prepare them this way :
10 scallops
1 tablespoon unsalted butter or margarine
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 dash garlic powder
1 dash onion powder
1 dash paprika
chives
parsley
Put the scallops onto a container for the broiler.
Add butter/margarine and olive oil.
Sprinkle spices onto the scallops.
Place a few inches away from broiler fire.
Broil for 12 minutes.
Turn the scallops over and broil for another 4 minutes.

Carpaccio of scallop with blanched asparagus
Serves 1
Preparation time less than 30 mins
Cooking time less than 10 mins
Ingredients
For the carpaccio of scallops:
3 scallops, roe removed
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lemon, juice only
1 tsp chilli powder
30g/1oz fresh mint
30g/1oz fresh coriander
30g/1oz fresh flat leaf parsley
1 garlic clove
55g/2oz spring onions, chopped
1 orange, zest only
salt and freshly ground pepper
For the asparagus:
3 spears of asparagus
Method
1. Bring a medium saucepan of water to the boil.
2. Add the asparagus to the water and boil for 2-3 minutes.
3. Take the scallops and slice each one thinly.
4. Arrange the sliced scallops on a plate. Drizzle over the olive oil and lemon juice. Sprinkle over the chilli powder.
5. Place the fresh herbs, garlic, spring onions and orange zest in a food processor. Blitz to until roughly chopped. Season well.
6. Spoon the herb mixture around the scallops.
7. Place the blanched asparagus on top of the herb mixture and serve.

Assuming they are now thawed (if not, do this in cold water). Dry them off, fry in a little olive oil, garlic and chilli, season with a little salt & pepper and a squeeze of lemon and serve. OR, pan fry again with a little bacon or wrap bacon around them and cook like that either in a pan again or in the oven. Remember not to overcook the scallops though.
