So, I am planning a nice and quiet evening for my boyfriend and I this weekend. I have everything figured out except the main course and what to drink... Here is the menu

1. Mixed Greens and Pear Salad
2. Garlic Roast Baked Mashed Potatoes
3. ?? Main Course ??
4. Dirt Cake for Dessert

I need suggestions for my drink and main course. Your input is appreciated!!!

FYI---We don't drink wine. A nice mixed drink thats not too strong would be nice!!

I'm in the process of making 12lbs of meat tomato sauce and wondering if there is another way to, well, preserve it. I can freeze it but that will take up all my freezer. So if anyone has a idea for me, i'm all ears. Thank you

I have tried several diff. recipes and they all seem to stick to the bottom of my springform pan. I follow the recipes to the letter. If it says butter bottom, I butter the bottom. Can anyone help me with this. I love to make homemade cheesecakes and would like to perfect this part of it.

Sure I know it'll taste a lot better if I add lots of sugary stuff, but that's what I'm trying to avoid. I'm trying to avoid that, but at the same time I know it won't hurt to add a little bit of this and that. What do you think is the best way to make healthier, but tasty oatmeal?

I really have no idea how to cook but would like to learn. What's a good way to start? What are the absolute necessities in a kitchen? I plan on following a new recipe each day until I become a master cook! PS. money isn't a big issue as long as it's reasonable (no dirt cheap meals).

I warming up a can of corn at dinner (not creamed corn) to have with chicken and cheesey mashed potatos. Is there any seasonings or something I can add to it to give it a lil kick? Nothing sweet or creamy, I hate creamed corn lol

I was thinking just adding maybe a 1/4th a stick of butter and seasoning salt while its warming??

Thanks!
