I warming up a can of corn at dinner (not creamed corn) to have with chicken and cheesey mashed potatos. Is there any seasonings or something I can add to it to give it a lil kick? Nothing sweet or creamy, I hate creamed corn lol

I was thinking just adding maybe a 1/4th a stick of butter and seasoning salt while its warming??

Thanks!

Little bit of salt, pepper and squeeze some lemon and dash of soy sauce. The juice will be good to dip your chicken in too.

First off - get rid of the canned corn and buy frozen - there is so much more flavor and nutrients.

With the frozen, butter, salt, and pepper are all you need.

But you can play around with the flavor from there. Try adding cilantro and chili peppers. Or dill and sour cream. Cheddar cheese and dijon. A bit of honey BBQ sauce.

MY FAVORITE QUICKIE !!
dice-or-slice some green, red, yellow, purple (whatever ) bell pepper and , or, some serrano-or-jalapeno before you add the corn to the butter ( no salt needed !!! ) these-2- ( 20 ) go great together just simmer pepper in butter for a minute then add the corn and really no need to drain !! enjoy !!
more time = add garlic clove and diced onion/scallion

so, let's get this straight... Obama alters talking points and it's "a clear attempt to distort the points of the issue, the proof of course is that they do distort the points" a journalist alters details.. and "it's just a big accident, whoops! clearly not an attempt to distort the points of the issue, even though they do alter the points (which is evidence when Obama does it)" lol... ok... if you guys say so... by the way, it's far from "proven"... if you read your link did any cons actually read that? EDIT: the guy even apologized for it "Karl over the weekend tweeted, “I sincerely regret the error I made describing an email from Ben Rhodes. I should have stated, as I did elsewhere, the reporting was based on a summary provided by a source. I apologize for my mistake.” He declined to comment further."

yes add some butter and fresh ground black pepper to it. You can add a little salt ( but might want to taaste first). Also try adding some Mrs. Dash's Orginal Seasoning to it (instead of Salt).

just salt and butter would be lovely, simple, and not to overwhelmng. You want this to be a side dish, not have more flavor than the chicken! a fresh squeeze of lemon would be lovely as well! Enjoy your dinner!

You can add sour cream and butter, but you said you don't like it creamy. Try some Emeril's essence or tony's seasoning.

there is a recipe that has been used for years and years that is called "corn o brian", that has green and red peppers that are diced up in it.. people have been known to make slightly different variation\s of this by substituting pimentos, green beans and other ingredients.. but the original is pretty much just peppers.. http://www.astray.com/recipes/?show=Fresh%20corn%20o'brian
