Try apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice, a little bit of brown sugar (sweetener will still work, too) and mix with yoghurt or milk. You could also add some dried fruit to it. A banana also tastes good with oatmeal and you get potassium. Adding a bit of vanilla makes it tastier, too, and doesn't add much in the way of sugar - just don't add too much. You could also try maple flavoring, though some are totally full of chemicals. Look at the labels. Sorry to keep adding, but raisins, if you like them, go particularly well with cinnamon and apple pie spice and sweeten it up naturally.
If you want savory oatmeal (not sweet) cook the oatmeal a bit longer, add salt and sauteed peppers and onions - basically anything works as long as you really like oatmeal. Savory oatmeal is for the most part not too good when it is soupy.
Hope that helps you!

The gang seems to have it right with the fresh ripe fruit. Here's one thing I didnt see yet. I do this for my 1 yr old. I add some of her favorite flavored low fat yogurt. It adds flavor and helps keep it from getting too thick and sticky like oatmeal tends to do after it sits for a few min. I also add some raisins, quick and easy. Her favorite flavor you ask? Stoneyfield Farms Organic Banilla. Yes, a little banana flavored. Yummy.......ChefGuy

I used to have this for breakfast everyday and it was AWESOME, I wonder why I stopped....
Anyway, plain old fashioned oatmeal, blueberries or apples or bananas, cinnamon, loads of it cause my mom told me it makes you lose weight, almonds, broken up, and vanilla soymilk.
You could also add yogurt
Dont use the sweetener, its really not good for you, after a while you will appreciate the natural flavors!

Why don't you buy the Quacker oatmeal packets that come in flavors? They have strawberries and cream, peaches, blueberry, banana and cinnamon. They are delicious and easy to make. Otherwise, you can add fruit slices to your oatmeal for a better yet healthier taste. Top it off with some toast and a ice cold glass of milk. Yummy!

Lets start with what you are cooking it with, if you add apple juice for the water, you get a nice apple flavor, which you can add nutmeg, cinnemon, orange rind, like pie. Or, you can use a bit of butter, dried fruit, your juice, a bit of honey, and you have a nice blend that way too. If you want to throw in chopped walnuts, pecans, even hazelnuts that are toasted, you get crunch and flavor. Its endless. Never be afraid to mix it up and be creative.

This may sound a little strange...but I actually like to mix my oatmeal with pudding...i buy those 60 calorie sugar free Jello pudding cups and i usualy get either the butterscotch, vanilla, or dulce de leche ones and stir the entire cup with my oatmeal...it tastes SO good, is a low-calorie substitute and nice and sweet...i HATE chocolate, but if you like chocolate, i know they have one of the cups in that flavor as well! hope this helps! :)

Stir in a couple tablespoons of sugar free jam. Or my favourite: stewed rhuarb. Makes a pink oatmeal, adds fibre and fantastic flavour. Very good. You only need a dash of Splenda and you have a fantastic, flavourful breakfast.

I use splenda and butter ( not sure what is called - but it is calorie free and in a blue spray bottle ). It taste really good! I know some people put a little brown sugar on it...I'm sure that's tasty too!
