ok, i went to this japanese buffet and im not sure what its called. It was a salty soup, it had lots of scalions in it, it had very thick yet short noodles, there were red dots in it- im assumping a sort of red spice, it was served with one bredded shrimp in it. It was dark in color , any idea what soup this might be?

My roommates mother told her that putting food in the frig too quickly will cause food poising, but my mother always said to put it in the frig as soon as possible.
I know you are always suppose to listen to your mother, but which one do you listen to?
A link to a good source would go a long way to proving who is correct.

ideally i want to be able to cut them into 4ths long ways and then pan fry them with some other accent veggies. i just dont know any technique or which veggies to use and all that. i'm also opened to other ideas if any one just happens to know of a great zucchini recipe.

the recipe says to trim all excess fat from the roast & brown & drain...

by brown,... do they mean i have to cook it in a pan first before putting it into the crock pot?

thanks...i feel like a total airhead! its just, i thought you could just throw it all in the slow cooker and forget about it for hrs.

I don't have the norm ingredients to make a tuna macaroni salad but this is what I do have on hand and was wondering if all these together would work?

Either elbow or rotini pasta
Tuna in water
Majo
Red Pepper
Onion
Avocado

I know it's not a lot and it would be a plainer one but I don't care, I'm craving a tuna salad and don't want to go out with all these kids .LOL Would all of these mixed together work?

Yes, I realize how ridiculous I sound, but I feel so wasteful throwing away the pickle juice after I'm done with a jar of pickles and I do love dill pickles so I go through a lot of it. Does anyone have any recepies/ideas for the leftover juices?

i have atleast ten people coming over to my apartment for supper next wednesday and i need some help on something to make!!!!! i want something thats failrly easy and quick to make, it's feeding ten boys so i need something that will make a lot lol. also these guys are in two bands that are playing that night so i don't want something that they'll eat and it'll over fill them and give them the nasty full feeling the rest of the night, yet something that is filling so they don't get hungray later on (if that makes any sense).
