It would be OK as the food would still cook properly.
It may not be the most appealing thing to do, but if the m/w still works it isn't going to contaminate the food.

It's probably not as dangerous to eat food that came out of it as it is to standnext to it while it's running!!!

the most fear is the radiation not the food
