I have some nice red wine leftover as well as Sirloin Steaks and would love to make a sauce using the red wine. Has anyone got any good recipes for making a red wine sauce for my steaks.
Thank you

I'm going to this restaurant and I plan on finishing their 72oz steak. I'm curious what the actual weight will be after its cooked because I also have to eat a baked potato, salad, roll and shrimp cocktail to get it for free.

I was grilling a steak using my cast iron ribbed pan. I turned the stove on high, let it set until it was burning hot. Sprayed the pan with olive oil and threw the steak in the pan. It started to smoke like crazy and my smoke detector went off. When I ate the steak it tasted like crap, it had a nasty burnt taste to it, but the steak wasn't even burnt. I'm guessing it had to be all the smoke. I've cooked steak previously with the same pan and technique and this has never happened. Does anyone know what went wrong??? Thanks.

scraped coconut with onion and chilli mixed together - it's almost like a salad, but you need to have it with bread or something like that?

i noticed that manufacturers continue to promote products that are plastic and you microwave, like the New Vegatables steam bag and there are many others like country crock man n cheese and mash potatoes. So..the problem that i have is that years ago they warned the public that when you shouldnt microwave things in plastic only glass..because when you microwave the plastic releases toxic chemicals that gets into your food. Do they care about the consumer or just about making money?

I switched to charcoal last summer. It takes a bit longer to prepare. Its not nearly as messy as people think it will be. But there is a huge difference in taste.

Just wondering what folks here prefer: gas or charcoal? And why do you feel this way?

I'm baking cupcakes for some 2-3 year old children. I don't want to use icing, but would like to top the cupcakes off with... well, something. This is not going to be in my home, therefore I'm not looking for anything messy. Any simple and easy suggestions?

I suppose you could use sucralfate (Splenda) for sweetener, but how would you preserve consistency and taste as much as possible ? Presumably there has to be some fat or it is more like a muffin than a donut.

I am not sure the name of the dish but it has chicken over pasta with pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes. Does anyone have the recipe for this dish? Its my favorite meal and my husband hates the place so we never get there... If I could cook it myself life would be wonderful!
