What my Grandmother use to do was go to the day old bakery and buy the powdered donuts and then put on a cookie sheet and put in the oven for about 10-15 minutes at 300% and when she took them out the powder had melted and they were so good . There was so many of us she shopped at day old all the time, but we were so happy with these because they were the best never mattered to us that they were day old :). I still to this day put them in the micro for about 1 minute when im in a rush but otherwise they go in the oven also... My Kids grew up on these as well and when there friends would have a sleep over they would ask if we were gonna have those hot glazed donuts...:)

You can make a runny icing mixture with icing sugar and water, heat it to midway lukewarm and hot in the microwave, then dunk the donut whole very quickly and allow to set on a baking rack.
