Often times some of the cloves start to mold before I can get to them. Is there a way to make them last longer, like by freezing or anything?

I'm feeling lazy today. Although potato salad is always a good choice, I do NOT consider peeling and dicing 8 potatoes easy. :) I'm a good cook, can make just about anything. But I don't have many fancy ingredients around the house, bacon or otherwise. Got any good ideas for me?

so my boyfriend asked me to make him a salad for lunch, and he told me what he wanted in it..
first off, he wants lettuce AND rocca leaves (dont ask..) i know i'll be chopping the lettuce, but i dont know about chopping rocca leaves up because it just seems wierd. how else can i present it?
also, i'm thinking of making a salad dressing to go with it, but this salad also includes halloumi cheese. halloumi is a little salty, for those who havent tried it, and i'm planning on grilling it just a bit.
what kind of dressing would go best with the cheese and the leaves?
THANKS!! :D

Yesterday I left some eggs sitting on the counter for about 6 hours. :( Are they still good to use in a recipe for brownies? (They'll get heated to high temperatures, for about 45 minutes..)

mine is my mom's... she made it years and years ago by just throwing some different vegetables together. its called soup-de-jour. i don't know where she got the name. we always make it with a huge pot, we put the left overs of turkey in it, and cut up little peices of it and put it in and it boils the meat of the bone. it also has cut up carrots, celary, onions, potatoes, brocelli, corn, barley, beans, peas and colliflour put in it, then put a couple of cans of diced tomatoes and tomato it.e soup in then, after that we put left over turkey stuffing (dressing), and then we put in about 5 different types of beans (which were soaked overnight). then of course we put a whole bunch of different types of noodles in like shells, boetyes, spirals and eggnoodles. when its almost done we put in the spices like pepper, salt, paprica, basil, summer savary and a couple of others. it takes about 4 hours to make but its soooo good. and there is so much of it too.

Hey you guys, I'm making a Chocolate Raspberry Tart, and for the crust I need pastry flour. Problem is my grocery store doesn't carry it and I don't have time to go all around town to find it. Will it still be ok to use all-purpose? I also have some cake flour and bread flour. I know bread flour won't do the trick, but perhaps cake flour would be better to use than all-purpose? Thanks!!!

I have a jar of dried sliced beef from Armor. Someone told me I can make creamed chipped beef from it on toast. she told me a funny name that it is also referred to but that involves swearing so I cant really say it. all i can say is s**t on a shingle. does anyone know how to make this? The way it was discribed to me it sounds really good.

I dont know how to cook but I know that I need to learn how. I never know what to buy at thegrocery store because I have never cooked. The only think I really buy is junk food and I know it cant be good for us. I really want to be able to have something ready for my husband when he gets home from work but I dont have any ideas about what to cook. Can anyone give me some easy recipes that are somewhat healthy and easy to make? Also, how much would itcost approximately to make a meal every day for 2 weeks? I know all the ingredietns in things have to add up to be lots of $$.
