Baking is healthier than frying, but the oven tends to heat the house.

If you notice, baked and stewed dishes (boston cream pie and pot roast for example), originated up north. Fried chicken and biscuits down south.

Up north, with its long winters, the oven had to be on historically to help heat the house. So it was nothing to put some meat and vegetables in the oven and cook them. Then other tasks could be attended to while the meal is cooking.

In the south, you won't want the house being heated up when its already warm outside. You want a quick meal that doesn't heat the house since you may do more work before you go to sleep.

Fry - good of quick cooking. Laddened with grease, but can cook meat in 15-20 minutes. Anything can be fried from batter (like pancakes) to pork chops to spinach (I'm lumping sauteeing, panfry and deep frying into the same technique, oil in a vessel over heat).
Baked, good for gentle cooking and cooking big items. Healtheir than frying. Good for bigger batter items like cake, brownies, oven roast, turkey, etc...
Boiling - good of stewing tough cuts of meat tender.
Steaming - only good for tender meat like fish which doesn't need much cook time. Also good for some batters like steamed pudding and custards, where the batter has to be set and isn't expected to become dry.

I'm not too sure...
One would think that baking would be a healthier option than frying, although it does take longer. I think that if you put your meat on a grill within the baking pan, it would stay out of the grease and be even better for you. Boiling meat is pretty gross, unless you're going to pop it in the oven afterwards to brown.
I guess the only thing I can think of is the length of time it takes to cook in the oven...everything tastes better when it's cooked in the oven though, so it's worth it!

Pretty much all that you have listed above... Cheaper: Don't have to help pay for the employee's salary that made it. More convenient: You can make it any time you want, even 4am! Healthier: Don't need the preservatives that give it a longer shelf life. Less processed and you can control the amount of ingredients like sugar and salt.

If you do not want to do any of the above you can eat raw food.

You would have to cite a particular food for us to be able to give you specific information.

You cannot boil a cake. You cannot bake a piece of dry pasta. You could bake a cake and boil a piece of pasta.

We need more from you to be able to answer this intelligently.

If it's hot and you don't have air conditioning, baking can make your home even hotter.
