if not, 500 deg F or higher. Be careful broiling, it goes from done to burnt in seconds. always watch, it only takes a couple minutes
on broil.

The dial usually has a "broil" setting.

It will vary depending on the size of the oven. The flame or upper element will stay on high until you turn it off or lower the temp.
