In grade school in the 1950's sometimes for luch they would serve a weenie dish that was great. It was sliced up weenies in some sort of a catsup like sauce . The sauce had bits and pieces of things in it like pieces of onions and other stuff. Does anyone know what this was called or the recipe. It tasted great.

Also, I think the brie is herb-encrusted, does it matter? Can I cut off the rind, or should I just give up the baking idea and serve it plain?

I am constantly asked to make my gumbo when a "happening" is around the corner - anyone else enjoy this? And if so, what do you do to make it "fan-damn-tastic"?

Have a batch going right now, who's in?

My friend has a domestic kitchen appliance where you putn some water in the bottom and the eggs stand over the top not touching teh water on a rack - the vessel is then sealed and switched on the eggs are boiled perfectly. You ened less water in teh bottom to boil more eggs - why is this so? eg. http://www.tchibo.co.uk/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/uk/-/GBP/TdUkDisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=frgnIF9_bjgnIBrFUGQtRFzqNEXKvPIeZtE=?ProductSKU=0000629
