I made this dish years ago that had a base of boiled spaghetti, with an egg mixture poured all over it and baked. It's not carbonara. I think it was called a fritatta, but I don't have that old cookbook anymore. I can't even find something like this online under fritatta.

Anyone know of a recipe like this?

We bought ourselves a large toaster oven, but don't have any idea of the range of its uses. What can all be made? I've seen recipes, but we need practical ideas from actual users as to ease of usage and cleaning, what containers can be used, what doesn't work, etc. We would appreciate any tips, including how to adapt old recipes for use in a toaster oven. Thanks very much!

I'm looking for a salad dressing recipe. The kind that they serve in japanese restaraunts. It is orange and has a strong ginger flavor. I simply love this dressing and want to be able to make it at home. Many of the recipes I looked at looked clear and not orange.

Can anyone help me out?

I know this sounds dumb, but I got a food steamer for Christmas and I'm not really sure what to do with it. I would love to steam veggies and fish and the like in it, but I don't exactly know how. There are general guidlines in the manual, but what I really want is a steamed foods cookbook. Does anyone know where I can find one?

I just bought some freeze dried chicken treats for my dog. It as incredibly expensive! $10.95 for 2.5 ounces (about 1 cup)

Is there a way you can freeze dry chicken at home? Do they sell freeze dryers for home use?

Has anyone tried it!

I would love to be able to make this for my dog! To say he was crazy about the chicken is an understatement!

There are some rice dishes that I've tried making, but they never turn out right. I always have to cook the rice separately, and then incorporate it into the meats, veggies, flavorings, or sauces at the end. The problem with doing it that way, however, is the rice never usually holds the flavor... there is too much of a contrast between the other food and the flavor of the rice.

The last time I tried making a dish with rice in it went something like this: I was trying to make rice with lentils and potatoes (with other spices and what not). After I added my base spices and things into a 12" skillet, I added the potatoes, dry rice, and dry lentils. Then I added broth, stirred it as it boiled, and then reduced it to a simmer and covered. The recipe I was following said to leave it for 25-30 minutes, which I did. When I came back, it was all MUSH. Like oatmeal! The picture in the book is a nice, firm rice dish. This mushy thing always seems to happen, and I use quality stuff. Thoughts?
