I love corn on the cob, but other family members do not, so when cooking it for others, should I take the corn off of the cob before or after I cook it? Thanks.

I read the recipe for choc covered raspberries and it calls for shortening . Some recipes include white chocolate but doesn't mention mixing white choc. with shortening as well. So can white chocolate be melted and poured over raspberries without the shortening and firm up fine? Also, how far in advance should I make my white choc. raspberries? Overnight? Or 1 hr before showtime? Thanks so much!

I have recently discovered rice cookers where you can set the time. What's the difference between these kinds and the regular kinds where you just push down a button and it pops back up when it's done?
Someone taught me how to bake this type of bread with the rice cooker, but you have to set it for 1 hour - can i do that with the regular one button rice cooker?
Thanks so much!
