I got a recipe for holiday biscotti from Everyday Italian (Food Network show). Here's the link with the recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_35321,00.html?rsrc=search
I've seen other biscotti recipes and they're the same amount of flour, sugar, etc. When I baked the loaf it spread out like a pancake. What went wrong? Baking powder is new (dated 2008). I've seen a few posters on recipezaar.com and a couple of other recipe websites say they had the same problem but I don't see a solution?

or US flour makes pasta heavier? I am using all purpose flour
I am from Argentina and used to make home made pasta there.
Here, I am having problems to do it properly. My pasta seems to result "heavier". And it's taste different.
When I eat home pasta at restaurants, the feeling is the same.

Hey all...i am looking for a good recipe for a dinner type turnover (can't think of a better way to describe it). Something for my kids to eat on the go while looking at Christmas lights, I am not wanting a sweet, something for dinner with meat, veggies, etc...not too messy. Thanks in advance.

I am serving meat (filet, several types) on a table grill for Xmas dinner. I'd like it to have a nice crust; how far in advance should I brown the meat and how should I store it before serving it to finish on the grill?

A LONG time ago when Stove Top dressing came out, my mom made a dressing recipe (on the back of the box) for pork that had Stove Top, stewed tomatoes and swiss cheese as it's main ingredients. Anyone remember it and have the recipe, or where I might find it?
