I'm making kielbasa and sauerkraut in my crockpot. (My first recipe in it, it's new!) Of all the recipes I've looked at and also in the one I'm making, they don't say to precook the kielbasa. It cooks for hours and hours, so I say no. DH says yes.

Do you cook meats before tossing them into a crockpot for 8 hours? Or will the recipes I make this week (whole small chicken, stew meats) require prep cooking? Thanks!

Looking to make some home made stir-fry sauce and the hotter it is the better. I know I can always add peppers and spices to recipes, but they do not always go with certain flavors and I would like some suggestions.

Please don't bother to answer unless you know specifically how Alesci's makes their bread. I already have lots of recipes for italian bread, and don't need a bunch more. Just one--Alesci's.

I'm thinking I could just buy ice cream - get it a little soft - and re-shape it in a cheese cake pan - and re-freeze it. Then - bake a cake in the other cheese cake pan. (Can I bake a regular cake in a cheesecake pan?) Then after the cake has cooled - stick the icecream slab on top of it - frost - decorate and re-freeze. Has anybody tried this??? Did it work? Got any suggestions tips or tricks? I figure this will be way cheaper than going to Baskin Robbins or even buying one from the grocery.

There are so many versions on the internet! This is specifically what I'm looking for: ground beef, macaroni noodles, ketchup, and relish. No onions, no cheese, no garlic. I can't remember if there were tomato chunks in it or not. I use to order it years ago in a restaurant that is now long gone. I'm not a good cook and I don't feel creative enough in the kitchen to make something up. I prefer to follow instructions. Any suggestions?

I was going to make homemade mac & cheese with the leftover ham tonight, and I cannot find my mac & cheese recipe book for the life of me! It has our favorite recipe in there!

Anyone have a good mac & cheese recipe? Mine called for 3 cans of evaporated milk, but I'll work with anything you all can find.

Thanks all!

Today I'm eating leftover Chinese food. I don't want to keep this up the rest of week, though. My goal isn't to become a piggy. Can you please give me a tasty, but not-so fattening bulk recipe which I can eat throughout the week? The more recipes, the better. :) Thank you!
