There are so many versions on the internet! This is specifically what I'm looking for: ground beef, macaroni noodles, ketchup, and relish. No onions, no cheese, no garlic. I can't remember if there were tomato chunks in it or not. I use to order it years ago in a restaurant that is now long gone. I'm not a good cook and I don't feel creative enough in the kitchen to make something up. I prefer to follow instructions. Any suggestions?

Actually, that sounds a lot like Hungarian Goulash.

1 lb gr beef, cook and drain
1 box of elbow maccaroni, cook 6-8 minutes, drain
1 16 oz can of diced tomatoes
1 16 oz can of tomato sauce
1/4 cup prepared relish

put all ingredients into a lg skillet or cooking pot, cook on low heat until hot throughout, stirring occasionally.

serve with warm garlic or corn bread.

I don't like relish, so i leave it out, but my g'ma used to make this all the time. I like mine a little "soupier", because I think it is better the next day and that way it won't dry out when you re-heat it.

Was this a casserole? Usually what you do is to fry a pound of burg then drain. Measure about 2 cups of dry macaroni. Cook the macaroni and drain that. In a casserole dish, combine all remaining ingredients and bake in an oven 350 degrees until heated through about 20 minutes or so. This is one of those dishes where there is really no measurments as far as adding the ketchup or relish. SO keep putting it in, mixing well, until it's to your taste.

Use ground beef, macaroni noodles, ketchup and relish.

Cook noodles separate and in a fry pan cook the ground beef and drain off the excess grease, add the cooked noodles to the meat, dump in the ketchup and relish, mix well and your good to go.
