I'm with whoa_phat....born and raised!
Don't buy any product that say's "Buffalo Wing Sauce" on it. Wings(as they should be called) don't have Italian dressing in the mix unless your getting creative!!!
-Seperate wings.
-Deep fry 400+ degrees 10 -12 miutes until a slightly crisp. They should be floating.
OR
-Bake 450 degress for 45 - 60 miutes. Drink a bottle of wine or 6 pack and wait!
The best wing sauce is made with Frank's Red Hot was called Durkee way back. Or use a cayenne based hot sauce with garlic.
-1/3 cup melted butter with 1/2 cup hot sauce ratio. Clarified butter is best but not neccessary. Should be enough for 2 lbs of wings.
I like to add a little grape jelly or honey (teaspoon) to help it stick. Plus it adds a little sweetness. Also, I'll put some cayenne pepper and chilli powder cause I like them hot. When the sauce is crunchy, it suicide sauce.
Some other sauces I've made or used...
-pressed garlic, parmasean, and butter
-sweet and sour w/ cayenne and chilli
-honey BBQ w/ cayenne and chilli of course
-Greek wing. Not mine but store bought...Chiavetta's marinade overnight and barbecued on outdoor grill.
Dipping sauce
Marie's blue cheese!!!!!! Or any blue cheese salad dressing that takes 10 minutes(long time) to come out of the jar or one you have to go at it with a spoon. Must contain real blue cheese chunks and be thick! None of that Wishbone cheap dressings.
Serve with celery and carrot spears so you spead the blue cheese on to the wing. Also, include a X-large package of wet wipes to cleanup with. Get messing when eating and good luck...........hot water, milk, or bread will help put out the fire in your mouth!!

I deep fry my wings while I make the sauce. That's 1 stick of butter, 1/3 cup hot sauce (I use Louisiana or Frank's), and a packet of Italian seasoning dressing mix.
When the wings are done and drained, toss them with sauce, put them in a baking pan and finish them off in the oven.
Always a hit!

Mmmm! I use Giant (chain store) brand hot sauce and butter.
Fry about 2 pounds in a big pan with about 1 cup of veggie oil on 75% heat. Takes about 15 minutes.
Mix about 1/2 cup of hot sauce, 1/4 cup butter, and a smidgen of cayenne pepper or other hotter thing if desired, in a saucepan and heat to melt butter.
Drain chicken on paper towels and throw in a bowl with the sauce you made.
These don't need dip!

Cut your wings apart and cook them in hot oil until crispy
Sauce:
Melt butter in a pan and then add Frank's Hot sauce. Pour over cooked wings and shake. You can also skip the butter if you wish.
I like to add a couple of TBLSPOONS of BBQ sauce to the mix.
Dip in Marie's blue cheese dressing. Serve with celery sticks.
Yes I am from Buffalo.

Mix 1 bottle Franks hot sauce, 1/2 cup melted butter, 1/2 pkg of the italian dressing mix (small package) and enough lemon juice to cut the heat. The more lemon juice you add the milder it will get. Don't add to much lemon juice at once, add, then taste test. You can always add more.
I always use Blue cheese and ranch dressing for the dips.

Deep fry the wings and drummets in vegitable oil. Spin them in a sauce that you like: teriyaki, hot, mild, honey mustard, etc.
When I make them in a hot sauce, I used Dave's Insanity Ultimate Reserve (three drops) along w/ butter, vinegar, cheyenne pepper, little water, garlic, salt, lime juice, and enough Frank's Red Hot to give it the right color. Watch out, it'll burn your butt off.

you can deep-fry the chicken which I strongly recommend, then
add some melted butter to the hot sauce and a little barbeque
sauce. Then, mix everything together in a large bowl.

Melted butter, add Frank's hot sauce (best hot sauce for them) to taste. Shake them together in a plastic covered bowl (tupperware type) and enjoy. Almost forgot this is done after they are baked or deep fried,, deep fried is better.
