My all-time favorite is http://www.allrecipes.com I like that site because you can rate recipes and read the reviews. http://www.recipezaar.com is a second favorite.
I got burned SO many time from cooks.com. A recipe sounded so great, but there was no way to tell if it was good or not (they don't have a rating system) and I made so many flops...

www.tasteofhome.com
This is a magazine where the recipes are all provided by real cooks. Not professional, home cooks. Everything I have ever made has been great. And easy.

you can try the food network site. I also like clabbergirl.com. Then again, you can always just google the thing you'd like to make and you'll get tons of recipes. good luck

There are very few, imo, that I would recommend. You raise a good point in this Yahoo cooking forum -- ask here & chefs & cooks will give you tried and true answers -- not links or copy paste replys. Hopefully, I wish to see that changed.

My favorite for deserts. For main dishes,
www.cookinglight.com, whose deserts are also very good, but a bit lighter and less rich than most.
