I don't have your mothers recipe, but I'll give you mine. 1 can of good salmon, remove the skin etc., but leave the bones in. Salmon bones with crush between your fingers, they are very soft and disappear into the patty. No one knows they are there and they provide a whole lot of calcium. Mix the salmon with onion, 1 egg and enough breadcrumbs to make a patty texture. Form the salmon into patties, between 3 and 4 depending on size, and fry in hot oil until crispy. Enjoy

I use a large can of red salmon and pick the bones and skin out. (You can leave the bones in. They're very soft and crush easily, and they're an excellent source of calcium.

Put the salmon in a large mixing bowl and add:

1 egg
1 small onion, diced
a little salt and pepper, if desired
enough corn meal to give the patties texture and make them stick together.

Fry in a little bit of oil until golden brown and onions are done. Very, VERY good!

Salmon ( correct spelling ) (LOL LOL) but this is the way I make them.
Scrabble 2 Large eggs well in a medium size bowl, open the can of salmon and pour "ALL" into bowl, mix the salmon and eggs well.
Add about 2 or 3 heaping tablespoons of "Self Rising Flour (any brand) and about 1 tablespoon of cornmeal (any brand) let sit.
While sitting, chop a medium onion (NOT VIDILIA) into diced pieces and add to mixture stirring WELL making sure to combine the egg with the salmon.
Add salt and pepper to taste or leave out depending on your dietary intake needs.
If not thick enough add a bit more flour.
Drop by tablespoons into hot about medium heat Crisco Oil brown each side till desired brownness.
Put on to paper towel to remove any excess grease
Serve with mayonnaise on the side or on top and with whatever else you cook. for you meal.
Need more just let me know

INGREDIENTS:
1 can (16 ounces) salmon
1 small onion, finely grated
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
ground black pepper, to taste
2 large eggs, well beaten
1 to 1 1/2 cups fine dry bread crumbs
3 tablespoons butter
PREPARATION:
Turn salmon and liquid into a medium mixing bowl. Flake with a fork, removing OR mashing any bones (they are edible). Mix in grated onion, parsley and pepper. Mix beaten eggs with salmon. Add enough bread crumbs, about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, to make thick enough to shape into 12 small patties.

get the canned salmon, drain and pick for bones (they are small and round, not long bones)
add an egg or two, depending on how many cans you use I think its 1 per can
add some onions
salt and pepper to taste
heat a small amount of oil in skillet
form salmon into patties and fry until golden brown!
Good Luck

Well I think my mom used to buy it like in a can at the grocery store -its a pink can,and you go through it and get all the bones and stuff out,and then-well she used to put onions in it ,and then mash it in a patty and put it on a skillet in oil and fry it on both sides.I've never made them but my used to allthe time ,they are good ,I hoped this helped.

mix 1 can salmon 15 oz (remove skin and bones) with diced yellow onion (about 1/2 onion), ketchup (about 1/4 cup) and about 1 TB of white vinegar (or to taste). serve between 2 slices white bread (no need to cook) sounds gross but it is very good!

Just mix a can of salmon with eggs and whatever else to suit your taste and drop a big scoop at a time in the pan. You can shape it while its cooking, or not.its kind of like an omlette.
