I have found a great cookie impression idea .I cut out circles in the cookie dough and very carefully, using my neighbors cat, I firmly hold him at my side(he hates me) and use one of his paws to press a design into the christmas cookies I'm making. When I'm done with everything I wipe my hands on him and set him back outside. I have found pieces of cat litter on some of them, but I cover it with colored sugar grandules. Merry Christmas everyone.

4 eggs and 2 T of sugar are beaten and folded into 12 oz. melted choclate. These are the only ingredients. The receipe is called choclate lave cake. In the picture the appears to be a thin cake shell over the choclate lava that spills out. They are baked for 15 min. in famekins or molds and turned upside down after baking. I find it hard to believe the cake can be made without using flour. It could be that this is just a very thin shell of cakelike matter over the lave but it has me stumped. It looks wonderful and I want to make it but can't see how the finished product as pictured can be accomplished. Help please. Thanks

No fruit cakes or things with dates or mincemeat. Something traditional and really moist.

Whenever I bake cookies, for some reason they tend to turn out flat and kind of porous (choc chip and oatmeal esp). Why does this happen? Also they always seem to get brown on the bottom so quick. Can I do something about this, like line the baking sheet or something?

We're participating in a collaborative dinner feast this weekend. Host theme is 'English' and is preparing Beef Wellington (not sure if this is English?). We've signed up for an appertizer/starter and a vege side.

Any suggestions on a typical English starter/appetizer that would go w/? Also, aside from mushy peas....vege sides? I have a lots of organic carrots.

Additional menu items from others inc Yorkshire pudding and Trifle.

Ideas and recipes very much appreciated!

A few years ago, I remember seeing a cookie recipe in the newspaper that you could turn into different types of cookies by adding different things to it as if you've slaved over 5 different recipes.

For instance, you make 1 dough and if you were to roll it in sugar and cinnamon you'd have snikerdoodles, but if you were to add chocolate chips, you'd have chocolate chip cookies...and so on. Does anybody have this recipe or know where I could find it?

I am dipping pretzels and have used chocolate chips and bulk chocolate wafers. I would like to know what to use to help the chocolate harden after dipping. I cool them in the refrigerator after dipping but they need to be a bit harder when transporting or serving them. Thanks for any help!
